When did I say they did? They’re British and they’re protesters. So I called them British protesters. ‘Do not represent the British people’ … well clearly that’s wrong. They don’t represent ALL of the British people, including me to be clear! But they do represent a portion of the British people. While a significant proportion of the electorate have strong antipathy toward immigration, that same proportion are not all bigoted racists who are willing to storm mosques and attack the police. Riots, looting and threatening behaviour towards others is simply outlawed and is gratuitous violence - end of.

“Protest” or who they are “representing” has fcuk all to do with it. They are representing no one but themselves and many doing so whilst holding no ideological POV - they’re just enjoying the aggro.

The way to “resolve these riots” is to arrest the rioters and bang them up/fine them heavily/make them clear up the mess whatever is appropriate for each perpetrator.

Btw - There is no absolute right to protest in English Law and while freedom of assembly is enshrined in Human Rights laws/conventions, no Human Right exists to protect the right to indulge in violent and thuggish behaviour - it’s not recognised in any liberal democracy as legitimate form of protest.

I was just doing a quick search to see what was going on in Stoke and there's pretty easily findable photos and videos of two blokes looking in a pretty bad way in Stoke. with claims they were either stabbed or hit with hammers by "Muslims gangs". I won't post them here.

Other videos show large groups of, for the sake of a description, "non-white" men, in Stoke patrolling around.

It's all a bit two plus two equals something, I appreciate.

Feels like a bit of a vicious circle from here. The far-right agitators will be making the most of any supposed Muslim-on-white attacks to stir up fear and provoke revenge attacks.

BBC 5 Live say Staffordshire Police have no evidence of any stabbings in Stoke.

Specialist officers and public order resources are continuing to respond to disorder in Stoke-on-Trent.
We acted on information about a planned protest and deployed a number of officers to ensure we could keep people safe.
There is growing speculation that a stabbing has taken place as a result of the disorder today. We can confirm this information is false and no stabbings have been reported to police, despite videos fuelling speculation on social media.
We can confirm that two men were injured after being hit by a blunt object that was thrown. Their injuries are not thought to be serious and both have been taken to hospital for treatment.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the disorder and are currently in custody for questioning.
A number of protesters have dispersed from the location while a large-scale policing presence with specialist public order resources remain in the area.
A section 34 dispersal notice has also been authorised, allowing police to disperse people who may return to the area.

The protests/riots are literally about immigration. If one side are British nationalists what do you think the counter protesters are?

It’s not offensive in any way at all to describe someone as ‘not British’. And like I said. Some in the counter protests will of course be British. Born and raised in Britain. What I said is they are not ALL British. Jesus wept.

The protests are not all about immigration. That is what people are pretending they are about. If it was simply about immigration it could be peaceful like the massive Brexit marches etc. it is thuggery and racism dressed up as about immigration. Very easy to protest about something without throwing bricks at the police.
