“Imagine what Labour could have achieved if they showed the kind of loyalty to Corbyn that the Tories are showing to Johnson?”
From RedJohnSocialist on titter
Apologies if fixtures.
Boris set up a tribunal. The person charged found her guilty. Boris dismisses the findings. Person charged with running the tribunal resigns.
Nothing to see here.
Imagine the boot on the other foot.....
Labour charged with antisemitism. Tribunal says 'yes'. Corbyn says OK but it's not a big deal. Starmer says 'you're OK mate'.
The gammon would have been all over it (even though they have no time for the 'Israelites' themselves)
Nice to see Labour perched on the higher ground. I'm content I rejoined the party after Starmer got in and started to make his mark.
I expect JCFG and others have a mountain of whataboutery to thow at me now. Fire away. I'll put you all on ignore
Just edited the post you quoted for clarity: it was a reference to something HWT found entirely reasonable yesterday.
I'm surprised anyone is surprised by this? Whatever your politics this government is corrupt even old school tories are appalled by the carry on. Even 10 years ago these scandals would have finished the PM and probably the government. The expectation levels of the public to politics in general are now so low that people barely bat an eyelid. Young footballers are held to a higher moral standard than cabinet ministers these days....

Dear Home SecretaryWhilst I see your point, Sir Alex Allan also said
‘ However, he added that the home secretary had "legitimately - not always felt supported by the department".
"In addition, no feedback was given to the home secretary of the impact of her behaviour, which meant she was unaware of issues that she could otherwise have addressed."
The problem is, if the leader's neck is brass enough, he will just bimble on. Like Trump.
Hopefully the outcome here will be the same.
Knowing how (rightly) ruthless the tories are, perhaps they may stab Boris in the back sooner rather than later.
We shall see.
In the meantime, yes, it is down with Lloyd George for grubbiness.
He knew my father, you know?
All bullies should be outed, she has been and deserves to lose her job, no excuses

Detested right wing public school educated Tory Prime Minister rejects an accusation made against Ms. Patel by a son of Baron Allen of Kilmahew, a late middle aged old Harrovian white man, and gives his full support to a BAME woman instead.
Good god (pick one of your own choice) - what on earth is the world coming to? NSC meltdown incoming - Johnson supporting a BAME woman against an adverse report by a white public school male - completely against the accepted stereotypes, eh? Shocking!
So basically its OK to bully if you don't know what bullying is because nobody told you. And this is from someone who's responsible for our personal safety!Whilst I see your point, Sir Alex Allan also said

She was sacked by Theresa May for unofficial talks whilst on holiday. She has broken the Ministerial Code twice, but Johnson won’t sack her.
I wonder if Carrie approves?
