Speculation that in a jubilee year the Duke of York will be making more public appearances than we might have expected and could soon return to a life of service and duty.

If anything is going to further the cause of republicanism in this country any sort of attempt to rehabilitate Andrew is surely it

There's been stories today in some of the pro-monarchy press, clearly briefed in, that Charles and William were appalled by Andrew's prominence and that he over stepped the line. Supposedly he wasn't supposed to be so visible but forced himself into position when entering the chapel. Edward and Sophie visibly cold towards him too apparently. I think whatever happens while the Queen is alive he's going to be very much out on a limb in future.

No secret that Charles was the driving force behind his brothers forced withdraw from office and public duties.

He's been very harshly treated and should be allowed to get on with his life and public duties. He has said he never met the girl, he doesn't sweat and he likes pizza so lets just believe him and move on. He has the right to give 12 million to anyone he wants to whether he knows them or not.

The cost of the Royal Family
has increased by £15 million in the last 12 months, it was reported yesterday.

Is that £12 million for Virginia Guiffre and 3 million for lawyers?

In a side note, as part of the Sovereign Grant review, it was announced that the findings of the investigation into alleged bullying by the Duchess of Sussex will not be released as it was privately funded by the Royal Family.

It was for refurbishing Buckingham Palace which belongs to the State not the Royal Family. Westminister was also refurbished and cost £22million.

It’s estimated that the Palace of Westminster refurbishment will cost £22 Billion and could take as long as 70 years to complete ! Where’s Guy Fawkes character when you need one.

Waste of money it should be vacated had handed over to the National Trust and a new Parliament building with hotel accommodation and proper facilities for the press to get over this putting up tents on Parliament green, but most importantly of all build it somewhere anywhere other than London it would be far cheaper than the ongoing refurbishment as an example the Scottish Parliament only cost £144 million to build

This is so needed! The first broad sweep in modernising British (soon English) politics. Licence Westminster to Warner Bros - perfect for some Harry Potter spin off.

I went with Mrs LLF to Windsor Castle yesterday, it was a birthday present for her, from our daughter.

There was quite a few armed Police there, it got me thinking.

Are they there as protection for the Royal Family, or are they there to prevent Prince Andrew going after the teenage girls that visit?

Where to begin? :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Which begs the question - which was the bigger waste of £37M?:

a) Paying off Giuffre + Legal Costs + Buck House refurb, or
b) Locadia + Ali J + Andone

A.

Because Ali J gave us 'that goal' which for me was up there in terms of the Zamora Volley against Halifax and a Klinsmann volley from 25yrds against Wimbledon for Spurs in terms of the best goals I've ever seen live and he's ahead by miles as I've never heard a hush before cheering for a 'non' VAR goal.
