Shitting in a public park is part of their culture?? FFS I have heard it all now, I saw the mess the pikeys left in Stanmer Park last summer including human waste, I would have thought the fancy caravans they have would have a toilet inside.

Apparently that is the case , a WC in a trailer is a big no no for a pikey family

How have they not ?. In all my years living in Brighton it has never ever been this bad. All the Greens are interested in is 20mph limits and making as much as possible out of parking fines. maybe if they turned there hand to the free camping lark and leave your shite everywhere mob things would change very quickly

Of course the Greens haven't encouraged them.

If it's your perception that 'it has never been this bad', that would be down to the numbers and/or tenacity of the travellers, not the response of the authorities. The council officers (the non-political people) have to operate within the law in exactly same way as under previous administrations.

The actual gypsy is very clean,their caravans are spotless and well decorated...it's the travellers with their dirty habits and no regard for the people who live in that location and pay their rates who are the problem...Caroline Lucas goes on about more legal sites for them...would she be happy if they had one next to her? In Northants, they built a site for them with showers and toilets...in two days of opening them all the pipes had been stripped out and sold down the scrapyard.
Just bring out a law that says 'No parking in public parks' and have a bolted gates...if they cut the locks like they usually do then charge them with criminal damage and illegal tresspass and impound their caravans or cars...no that's too easy for the limp greens.

Why ? Has it struck a nerve ? I'm not sure about you, I can't say I have seen posts from you railing against racism and intolerance and castigating people for generalising about certain groups of people, but there are contributors to this thread who've done so, and they haven't been the beacons of tolerance and acceptance on this thread that they preach when it comes to the subject of communities swamped by immigrants for example.
