Surprised to find this hasn't been discussed on here.

VP candidate Sarah Palin, former runner-up in Miss Alaska, and if McCain won, she would be president if/when he kicks the bucket.

Political experience seems to have been as mayor of a town of less than 7,000 (probably twice that number of moose), and two years as governor of Alaska.

Discuss (although I suspect the discussion might not be very erudite).

That makes her quite conservative in terms of social policy, but it doesn't necessarily make her right wing. At the end of the day she is a Republican, whilst there are crossovers the anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage thing is kinda a given. And thats personal choice anyway. I personally am anti-abortion, I couldn't give a toss if people hunt or not, and whilst I don't have any issue with gay marriage, I can see why people choose to oppose it. And I am quite left wing.

I was under the impression that she was a supporter of quite a few labour reforms - minimum wage, working hours, job protection etc. Thats not overly right wing, is it?
