I know all these things. Im just saying that its not the end of the world to play in the Championship for one year. Long term its not a big deal. But yes, no relegation is the preferable option.

It's not the end of the world but I want to play the top sides in the country.

Our support needs to start getting behind the team. If the team won't lead from the front, then we need to.

For one year maybe, but how many clubs relegated in last 10 years have been promoted the following year? I can only think Burnley, maybe Newcastle.

Without checking I suspect most relegated are still down there somewhere.

You're not the first to suggest a bounce back because we're 'well run'... that's naive at best and nor am I sure we're any better run than many others anyway

If a team go up immediatly after getting relegated it dont really hurt the club much, first year of parachute payments is pretty good. I think IF relegation happens there is a good chance of immediatly bounce back up, the club is a lot more stable and well managed than most clubs that go down.

I’m convinced now you’re the guy with the mullet in Potter’s coaching team!

Plus side
1. No longer one of the smallest fish in the pond
2. Chance to clear out some dead wood
3. Chance to see if the under 23s are actually all that
4. More games for your £

Negative side
1. Getting back out of the Championship
2. Loss of revinew
3. Loss of better players
4. TB five year plan takes a dent

But hey it's not over until the fat lady sings I admit she's been seen driving into the car park and is just about to get out of the car but she's not singing yet.

I don't want to go down but if we do it will be partly our fault now let's stop this negative NSC get behind the team and encourage the team to safety

The thought of it makes me feel sick. We have waited so long to be part of it, the big games against the top clubs and top players. To lose it after only three seasons doesn’t bear thinking about.

What I think is as bad is no one will miss us. We have made no mark on the premier league. Originally we were seen as plucky underdogs when we came up but by sacking CH we lost that and now a lot of people will take pleasure in seeing us down with a smug ‘be careful what you wish for’ to send us on our way. That will really p@ss me off.

The Championship is far more competitive and most importantly no VAR.

I’d personally prefer to watch us in the Championship but I’m aware the club need Premier League football to break even.

It’s ok to go down IF we come back within two years much stronger and able to cope in the PL. unfortunately by then the PL teams will have had two more years of PL money and even stronger squads.
This is why only the mega rich new PL entrants can survive long term, (eg Wolves) or those with a successful PL survival formula (Burnley).
