I see League 2's table is set to be decided by a weighted average of points gained home and away this season.

The Stoke Sentinel got wind of this method a few days ago and produced a Prem League table using such a method. Interestingly, we remain in 15th place and would survive, however West Ham drop from 16th and into 18th spot, and would thereby get relegated - by 0.18 points.

Sounds perfect to me. Where do I sign.

Sorted. That wraps things up nicely.

How many days do the Premier League expect the remainder of the season to last? It must be nearly running into the start of next season by now...

I think it's around 6 weeks- mid-June to end of July. UEFA then proposing to run the Champs League and Europa games through to the end of August so 20/21 seasons in Europe would re-start in Sept.

Bit tough for clubs who make it through to European finals but they have already had a couple of months break so I guess they will just have to push through..

The proposed restart is predicated on an improving trend. Front page of the BBC website suggests an uptick in the R number to just below 1.0. It's all very up in the air at present. Certainly the right time to fully focus on preparing for a full restart but good to know that the average PPG scenario means that we avoid the drop if Project Restart is abandoned.

I think it's 6/7 weeks but conceivably if you played a game each weekend and one in each midweek it could be done in 4 and a half weeks (omitting cup games).

Yes, but he’s another who captains a RELEGATION THREATENED SIDE, so his concerns will again be thrown in the dustbin marked ‘self-interest’.

(There is a reason why Sergio Aguero’s concerns are being given no airtime - harder to pigeon-hole)

Norwich captain Grant Hanley coming out and stating his, perfectly justifiable, concerns about restarting will only add fuel to that particular fire. The fact that his wife is pregnant will be completely ignored in the rush to point out he’s another who captains a RELEGATION THREATENED SIDE.©️HKF.

League 2 to be cancelled via weighted PPG - but keeping playoffs to. League 1 still quibbling for another week.

Looks to me like an unweighted ppg.

The Italian gov has has not backed down from this stipulation. And what happens if a player tests positive after a game, both squads in 14 day lockdown? Everyone is on about this season restarting, I am not even sure next season can start.

It is hard to say from that article as it says they have made adjustments:

'In Italy approval for the resumption of training for Serie A was predicated on a change to the government protocol which required squad quarantine. On Friday Serie A officials called on the government to relax that condition. “The points of the protocol that are difficult to implement were analysed and some tweaks were constructively elaborated in order to solve problems,” the league said.'

Doesn’t ‘elaborated’ just mean ‘explained’ in this context ?
