Everton seemed imperious at The Amex, finally all that money spent paying dividends.

Then they’ve been mostly sh1t since.

Whilst Wolves were deemed by all those clever pundits as relegation fodder in the early weeks.

It’s a funny old game.

Agree completely - I know they had DCL but we were second best all game - tonight they look dreadful so far!

Midtable Albion and falling fast, we couldn’t buy a win. Porter Out :fishing:

Everton seemingly do this EVERY season. They start off like a train and everybody starts talking about a top 4 finish. Then they wobble through early autumn and by the time the clocks go back they are utter garbage.

But frustratingly, we always seem to play them in the early part of the season.

I know I'm just being greedy because our current league position is beyond my wildest expectations but it still rankles that the only two teams that have failed to win at Carrow Road so far this season are (1) Norwich and (2) us.

I bloody KNEW we would fail to turn up there, for some reason, and so its really frustrating to have left 2 points in Norfolk. (Not that our performance on the day deserved anymore than the 1 we got).

That was THE one, and the fact that their car crash of a team tore us apart with some attacks as the game wore on. Carrow Road ….. so often a graveyard for Albion teams.

Arsenal too, again being greedy, we outclassed them. The club of Henry and Bergkamp were pathetic, an 8 man defence crowding their box.

It's games like that, and the weight of years of being an Albion fan, that make me fear the next few games. Despite playing so well against Man C (2nd half) and Liverpool you just know we're going to make hard work of what on paper should be easier games. Hope I'm wrong, obvs.:albion2:

They’re also entirely different games of football. ManC and Liverpool attack from start to finish, full backs 50 yards up field. Almost naive against Potter in only thinking of attack.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, CP, Manure don’t fall for that trap. Plenty of bodies back at all times. Will Newcastle and Villa also seek to crowd us out at the back?

The Last Post played by an army trumpeter at Molyneux, impeccably respected.

Classy.

That's fine, but any particular reason?

And I say that as someone that spent Saturday and Sunday outside Tesco Express in Storrington selling Poppies. Great response as ever btw, people stuffing fivers and tenners into the collection box and not even asking for a Poppy.

Remembrance Day is the 11th of November and any stuff done at Football should surely be over the weekend of 13th/14th November?

Do you think we set up wrong vs Norwich. They seemed to have an answer for our front two, however having watched the players movements on Saturday I wondered if this would have been more effective vs Norwich with it a lot more difficult to pick individual players up

I think the big difference is that we missed Bissouma. Since his abscence we've drawn with Palace, Arsenal and Norwich. His comeback was also a draw but what a difference he made.
