Public school boy, we are all gay don’t you know

You're a public schoolboy? I should have seen the signs.
Any contracts from Boris this year?

****, I’ve outed myself. Nah I went to a League two school, Boris wants nothing to do with me

Have you ever been to Dover? Two thirds of the catchment area is in the sea

Hinchcliff I think it is?

Yep, I think I remember he used to do our games in the championship and he never had a good word to say about us. He seems to find the most complicated way of explaining very simple things to make it sound like he’s clever, dull.

Harsh? It's complete and utter incompetence from a useless ref. It's getting worse by the week.

Now he's booked a player for sliding in at almost the same time as the other on a mud pit of a northern shithole

It's VAR isn't it? Not saying refs were fautless before, but they've totally lost the plot. They, like us, don't know the rules anymore.

I know, but Mee was fouled not the keeper. The ref should have either played advantage or given a penalty.

That’s different from saying the goal should stand - it can’t because the whistle went beforehand........

If the ref hadn’t blown until the ball was in the net VAR would have intervened and it’d be 1-1

Yer he’s got a bad case of northernitis you’re right he normally gets left alone in the championship commentaries. Got a promotion due to the big fixture list I guess?

I know too, but you said the goal should stand which it clearly can't as the ref blew before the shot...What the ref should or shouldn't have done dosent alter the fact the goal shouldn't stand

Cheers

If penalties can be given for fouls outside the area, or after a full time whistle has gone, then Barnesy’s goal could have stood.

Football is officially crazy now.

Whistle had already been blown......so goal is irrelevant.

VAR should have been (may have been ?) used to check whether Meslier fouled Mee.....maybe not seen as a clear and obvious error sufficient to award a penalty.

It’s all bollocks......

Yep, any other player anywhere on the pitch does that it’s a foul/penalty, I find it odd that something like that doesn’t get looked at by VAR but an accidental brush against someone’s foot in the box will be given as a penalty. There’s no consistency in the way VAR is used.

Quite frankly the standard of actual refereeing away from VAR has gone downhill even more since the introduction of VAR imo.
