I do worry that this downturn in form may be permanent. It happens with young players. They burst on the scene and then don’t kick on. FH didn’t seem to fancy him at all and GP hasn’t started him once and with the team winning may not do so.

It is worrying when two different teams who both haven’t had a fit striker, both haven’t started their only other fit striker and instead opted for square peg, round hole

That has to be the most boring least competitive game in the EPL I have ever bothered to watch. TBH I spent most of the time doing my accounts

I'm wondering whether Newcastle will risk Isak on the weekend, what with him missing tonight's match at Anfield.

Given they haven't won a domestic trophy for 70 years their priority would have to be the League Cup Final, which is just 2 weeks after they play us.

Isak, Botman, Joelinton all missed tonight. Howe will want them to be in contention for Sunday but it would be a big risk to bring all 3 back. I'm already looking forward to Minteh up against his old club and leaving Dan Burn on his arse several times.
They are absolutely playing every game with their cup final in mind.

Apparently, Howe used new tactics and formations against Liverpool so that they could not get a proper sneak preview of them and potentially give Isak a good kick or two.

Unfortunately, I’ve a feeling that we’ll be used as a dress rehearsal on Sunday with a full strength Newcastle absolutely going for it like Bournemouth did. Despite this, I’m confident that the result will go our way again.

Another win for West Ham takes them level on points with Man United and Spurs after 27 games, but with just 11 games to go, which one will miss out on Europe next season?

Some colossal clubs in danger of not making Europe.
Manure
Hammers
Everton
Palace
Spurs

With Manure, Ratcliffe’s business plan must demand the income. With Spurs their chance card is winning a cup.
