Very poor from Ipswich. If they can't take advantage of Man Utd in complete disarray and down to ten men, then surely all hope has gone for them this season.
They are actually much worse than I thought they'd be. They spent a lot of cash and are going down with a whimper.

We have only beaten 1 so far...

Blimey, and here was me thinking I'd seen us win at both Portman Road and St Mary's this season.

Say what you like about Manchester United but when it comes to home games against their fellow relegation candidates, they have a great habit of making plucky comebacks to win all three points.

I'm wondering whether Newcastle will risk Isak on the weekend, what with him missing tonight's match at Anfield.

Given they haven't won a domestic trophy for 70 years their priority would have to be the League Cup Final, which is just 2 weeks after they play us.

Isak, Botman, Joelinton all missed tonight. Howe will want them to be in contention for Sunday but it would be a big risk to bring all 3 back. I'm already looking forward to Minteh up against his old club and leaving Dan Burn on his arse several times.

Generally satisfactory results for us all round. Pity Ipswich couldn't have turned over United though (just for shits and giggles).
I’m finding it increasingly amusing, (and amazing tbh) that Utd’s results are almost certainly irrelevant to our European aspirations

It's been an excellent set of midweek results for us. 6 points separates 3rd from 10th.

This is like the Leicester season but on a grand scale for the non 'big six'. It's a golden opportunity for multiple of us to get European football. Brentford or even (disappointingly) Palace have an outside chance too.

It's suddenly become very exciting. I really, really hope we can take advantage of the opportunity.
