In a dispute with Ashley, many fans abstained and so there were unsold s/t’s, predictably all snapped up when news of the takeover leaked out.

But now a painful few months for them, they still have the same shit team (except Wilson and Saint Maximin).

A footballing phoney war until next years transfer windows.

Now those mugs have to sit there looking glum as if they give a shit. I hate it all. They shouldn’t even show them. We get there’s new owners but who are those stooges all sat in the boxes? **** them.

Unless, heaven forbid, Toon were buying for a season in the Championship.

Edited for you:lolol:

Although a Spuds win would drop us out of the Champions league places, I so want to see more close ups of the new bosses in their token scarves, knowing sweet FA about football looking miserable :D

Yup. Increasingly think this is the last non-Brighton PL game I watch, finding it hard to enjoy it.

I’ve often avoided TV fixtures where a sports-washer/FFP cheat has a flat track bully game against a smaller club who play by the rules. I don’t get the plastic love-in from hundreds of miles away in PSG or ManC.

I admire the Bundesliga.

But I can’t unhook myself from the lifelong love of football here.

Spurs would need to score another 6 goals to go above us.

I’ve been aware of Staveley for years, a long time ago she tried to broker a deal for LFC by a state sponsored Dubai fund.

She doesn’t love football, she loves money and cottoned on to the fact that football is a money spinner.

The more I think about apart from the moral aspect but more in the PL aspect, it's quite exciting.

All of these minted megalomaniacs battling each other over a football pitch. There can only be one winner of the PL.

Appears Newcastle are just another PL club where people are only singing when they're winning. Very quiet.

This doesn't look good. Game suspended due to medical emergency in the crowd.

I can't understand all the comments about Newcastle fans I have always found them to be good eggs in general.
I am sure that many of them are split 50/50 between being happy that their club may be successful in the future and very uneasy about who has taken them over, every club has idiots like those dancing in the street wearing tea towels, annoying as they were.

Hope the person in the crowd is going to be fine. Second time I see this happening within two weeks.

Great reaction from the players I have to say. They realised something was happening and just hope the quickness it was realised will save a life.

Haven't heard many complaining or taking a stand.

She doesn’t love football, she loves money and cottoned on to the fact that football is a money spinner.

She was heavily tied into Barclays when I was there during the financial crisis in 2008, she sued the bank for damages and lost. Almost ruined one of my old bosses.

Seeing her celebrate the Newcastle opener was sickening - not a toon fan, no interest in football. You’re 100% right, all about the money.

I so hope they crash and burn. They could be adrift with Norwich by the time the window opens, then bring in a few overpriced mercenaries with no clear strategy. Could be fun to watch.
