Passively watching, but did a little fist pump for that goal.. don’t want too many surprises in the first week.Rodney makes it 3.
I’m sure it’s the only thing that makes them happy.Booing Burnley fans are back.
Deep joy.
Yep. Horrendous challengeThat could have been a leg breaker with how high the boot was. Definitely a red
Red all day, whoever it was on or by.Can’t tackle a Man Citeh player like that and not get a red?
Yellow (if we’re lucky) if that tackle had been made on a Brighton player.
Seen the replay now. Thought he just tapped his ankle at first.Red all day, whoever it was on or by.
I suspect with this game there is the idea of Vincent Kompany returning, and the potential of 'former player coming back to cost his old team' happening as it often does in football. There was also an opening day match for a newly promoted Burnley v (I think defending champs) Man Utd that everyone knew Utd would win, that was actually won by Burnley. Brentford got the upset v Arsenal after promotion. I think there was the hope of, or the awareness of a possible, upset.Said exactly the same before it started. City v bottom half of the table teams so often so dull for the neutral - god only knows why tv keep picking them
I agree from an entertainment perspective but it would be very strange for the Champions’ opening game of the season not to be live on TV. They’ve reflected its lack of potential by sticking it in the Friday slot rather than a more prestigious Sunday kickoff. Plus they get one of their showings of Burnley out of the way nice and early with a good excuse.Said exactly the same before it started.
