Looking forward to The FL Show tonight - a few chants of "no-one wants to manage you" and "you can't afford the compo" from the Swindon fans.

You talk about comedy decline - was your decline between 92 and 97 just as comical?

To suggest that suggests to me you are not a proper football fan. Fans United.

No, not really - but yours has been absolutely COMEDY GOLD over the last few years.

I just love your forums, I remember the start of the season you got relegated to the championshsip - and all the talk of pissing all over the league. I seem to recall the same when you dropped down to this one..

Southampton fans are a constant source of amusement for me.

HA HA HA HA HA HA (look there I go again)

Not quite as funny these days unfortunately, most of your "fans" (including the ones from Sussex) having finally realised that Southampton FC are a league one club.

So does anyone actually want the job, looks like Southampton want the mighty Scunthopre boss but won't pay any compensation for him, perhaps they will have to go into Admin again to shaft the creditors and refinance the next wave of big spending.

f***ing HELL!!!

Exactly what has where I live got to do with my football allegiance?

No. Read the post. I'm talking about the reason for your bitterness towards the Saints.

"Maybe the fact that you live in Soton and have to drive past a 32,500 seater stadium now and again makes you all the more bitter which is why you're always having a dig at Saints."

I'm not bitter about the Saints at all and i'm certainly not envious of the stadium, even allowing for Withdean.. St Marys is a soulless bowl, typical of the crop of new stadiums that have been thrown up over the past few years. It's in the wrong place and (half) filled every other week by delusional yokels who completely fail to grasp the situation the club is in.

As someone else has pointed out, Southampton fans need to accept the fact that they are now in the 3rd tier of English football and the days of entertaining the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United are a million miles away at the moment.

That's the problem - the breathtakingly ridiculous attitude of the fans. "We are a Prem club in all but name", "we've got the ground and will be back soon", "We will destroy this division", etc etc etc

Accept the fact that you are scrapping around with clubs like Rochdale and Dagenham in an identikit stadium that has absolutely no soul and DON'T have a divine right to promotion, then perhaps you get a bit more respect from other fans.

Wrong place ?? How is that. Its situated in the St Mary's area of Soton where the club originated. Cant say that about BHA, or should I say BLA (Brighton & Lewes Albion). And before you talk about soul, cant think of many new grounds with 'soul' They are built to host fans and football. Oh and at least we didnt sell out on the name of our stadium unlike certain other new grounds.

And half full? 2/3 full I would say. No disrepect intended bit our average crowd since being in this league is around the total capacity of your new stadium. So obviously with such a fan base and with the money were spending, fans are entitled to expect us to get out of this league.

I remember many an Albion fan saying "what are we doing in this league. we dont belong here" in division 4 between 96 and 01. And why wouldnt they? BHA is too big for Div 4.

Jees its really made you bitter receiving all that constant piss taking from your local Saints fans. Just f***ing get over it.

Wrong. Our new stadium is fully within Brighton's boundary. The coach park and access road are in Lewes district.

Just like to point out that when St Marys was opened it WAS sponsored and called the friends provident st marys stadium, so as far as not being a sell out on a stadium name you are talking bollocks

I'm pretty sure it was called the The Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium for years.

You're starting to remind me of that Arsenal "fan" on the Fast Show.

Since Nicola sacked Pardew, Saints results have been P3 W0 D0 L3 F0 A6 Pts 0.

I have no issue with them, I am sure their decent fans are embarrassed by the behaviour of the Nicola, and I would rather they support their local teams rather than Chelsea.

As for delusional behaviour in terms of being a big club, perhaps we should take a look in the mirror at times on NSC.

Friends provident dropped out as they didn't want to be associated with a club that doesn't pay it's debts
