Don't bother Vagabond.

It's a thread in the subsection 'humour'.
The opening post has a less than funny 'hairdresser' joke.
Then asks for more creative writing.

Some posters would rather play the man not the ball, all rather sad really.

Barking up the wrong tree there mate

Welbeck indeed got quite a few injuries in his career. Not going to disagree its a concern - it is. But since turning into a competitive PL player in 11/12 he has averaged 23 PL games per season and not all of the games he missed was because of being injured. Its wrong to assume that he will be injured more than he wont. While he is prone, his proneness is over-exaggerated.

Maupay is apparently "likely to go off at any time and pick up suspensions"... Since arriving in England in 2017 - six years ago - Maupay has been suspended for a total of 7 games. In 2017/18 he played 42 out of 46 league games, in 2018/19 he played 43 out of 46 games, first season in Brighton he played in all but one of the league games and last season he played 33 out of 38.

Connolly... I dont read The Sun, but I've seen a talented 21 year old who despite his youth and inexperience scores 0.21 goals per 90 minute in the PL (NM and DW 0.33) and who could likely improve on that since players, you know... develop.

Is this a fantastic Premier League trio? It is not.

Does it make me want to wet my bed, do I think Graham Potter will resign over it, do I think TB and the recruitment team should be hanged, do I think other bottom half clubs will be all that much better? I do not.

The situation is very overdramatized and could be equalled to the kiddo on christmas who cries and screams out its hatred over not getting some shiny new toy. Kiddo might percieve it as the end of the world, but will in due time realise that it wasnt.

I was not expecting a shiny new striker, but i was not expecting Zeqiri to be sent out on loan instead of Connolly reducing our options.I was certainly not expecting us to spend £7 m or whatever funding bloody Stoke city`s promotion push

Its certainly not un-realistic to expect jam on our bread today instead of tomorrow

And do not get me started on Trossard!!

Norwich - 16 Oct, and the Man City and Liverpool matches thereafter. It all goes wrong vs Arsenal:

1. Welbeck breaks a nail after strong challenge from Xhaka and is out til Christmas.
2. Leno - still harbouring a grudge - calls Maupay a c*nt. He calls the German a c*nt, the ref hears this and both are yellow-carded.
3. A desperate Connolly goes in late on Ben White. Maupay runs over and pushes Connolly for fouling his pal. Connolly receives a straight red and Maupay a second yellow. A fight in the tunnel ensues - both are red-carded.

Why don't you read the thread, look at the subsection it's in, understand it for what it is and then...

...f**k off.
Why dont you take your shit attitude and your intensely annoying WC jersey (even if it is meant in irony) and shove it up your arse and avoid me in the future unless you grow up.

The salient point of this thread now, rather than any consideration of our strike force, is that when you have to point out that something is humour, it's probably failed!

Well the Argus have joined in the humour! Connolly’s injury has sparked the club into a free agent striker search. The photo on the article written by the comedian they have drafted in shows Sturridge, Carroll and our preferred target Carlos Tevez.

I did make a quick mental check that today wasn’t April 1

Well it’s not Brentford cos despite the gnashing and wailing it appears that Connolly is going to be fit after all (Potter/press conference /Thurs/ “trained this morning”)

I’m more worried about wingbacks TBH.

Benitez did his homework on our formation with midfielders as wingbacks and has created a blueprint for other managers to use. Completely stifled with rigid defending and then smashed with pace on the break with fast forwards.

Hopefully the days of Moder or Groß at wingback are long gone with Cucurella signed, Veltman back, March almost back and Lamptey hopefully available for EPL games by October.

Possibility March will be back for Saturday

Would it be foolish to think that a certain Jeremy Sarmiento may step up the plate a la Peter Ward?

We've practically already qualified for Europe according to some. Admittedly mainly according to those with their mittens tied together by mum. Who needs strikers eh?
