after The WHU game where I thought we played much better it’s on the rise a bit after the Palarse debacle
Agreed, I thought we were unlucky against WHU, we were just shit and rolled over against Palace

I'd of put 8 but went with a 7 purely on how disappointing we've been without Welbeck/Veltman in the team, the managers job is to get results with the players he has at any time, and without those two we do not seem the same team.
TB spent a lot of money in the summer but I'm still quite happy we're on the shirt tails of the European qualifier places.
Overall happy but can do better.

yep. i’ll know we’re getting somewhere when we can control games for 90 mins again like we did in the late potter/early RDZ era (after a dodgy first few games). just cutting out the stupid sh** a la wolves and leicester would be a great start. going forward sometimes it feels like i’m watching 2008-11 Barcelona, defensively it feels like I’m watching an u12s game. and something seriously needs to be done about the injuries. the squad’s appalling fitness record is in serious danger of derailing our season once again
Yep. Re the fitness...we hired some top German chap... it's very strange.

A pathetic 4.

It should be so much higher but I am just not that excited by what I see. Maybe that extends to the whole football product, but I don’t think so.

I see a team floundering a bit. They are going through the motions but it all feels a bit half hearted.

We need a big performance to lift us.

Sadly I’m down at a 4.
The first time in yonks I‘ve woken feeling like Im struggling to have much excitement about going to this evenings match. To be fair though that’s also being contributed to by the fact my BIL passed away a few months back and his seat next to mine remains empty ….

5. Feeling largely meh, I think the excitement of signing so many players and a new manager created a lot of hype, feels like that has very much fizzled out and we’re playing a nondescript style of imitation pressing football. Not expecting a win tonight.

As above

The season was really exciting at the beginning. New players. Didn't know what you were gonna get. Scraping great results.

Now it's dire. Boring football. Players that don't look interested with behind the scenes rumours of unhappy players. Wellbeck injured/off. An average of 8 players injured every game which is frankly ridiculous . Our place in the pyramid now taken by the likes of forest/Fulham and Bmuff who have good managers and motivated players.

Not going tonight or arse. Next game Ipswich away.

Standing in the gods at West Ham was a great opportunity to look at patterns of play and movement. Under RDZ and Potter there was always clear evidence of coaching and identify. Last Saturday I didn't see any evidence of anything other then 11 blokes running around the pitch.

Mine will go up when we look like a team again as much as winning a game.

Was just about to post something very similar. I left West Ham feeling more deflated than I have for a long time. It's very hard to see a clear identity, style or pattern of play currently. I am also really starting to notice quite poor body language from some players (see Pedro laying into Minteh for his complete lack of effort [or brain] at one point at West Ham – I agree with Pedro here!).

The team does not look happy overall to me and to be honest we were also surrounded by some of the most unpleasant, toxic moaning Albion (supposed) fans I've had the displeasure of standing next to for a long time... I left that soulless void feeling quite down, wishing I'd stayed in the pub or at home.

Set my Mojo at 4, but with the additional news that I'll now have 3000 gobby away fans sitting 7 seats away from me in W1A from 2027, I could have easily put it at 2. No idea how we'll play tonight. My favourite moments of the season so far (Everton and Newcastle away) seem like they belong to another team/season. I am patient and can see the rebuild will take some time with many young players and manager but I can't shake the nagging feeling that I'm watching a team who currently don't look particularly happy, motivated or convincing. Meh.

8 - and here's why.....

On the pitch - We're building a ridiculous collection of young players.
We've been nowhere near as bad as our recent results might suggest. We've dominated games for long periods (Fulham, Leicester, WHU) and not got what we've deserved. Also when it clicks it really clicks. We seem to be in one of those football spells where every mistake is ending up with an oppo goal and we're missing chances and the chance to create a chance, either through bad luck or bad decisions. We also have key experienced players out, which might be a link.

Off the pitch - Tony doesn't show any signs of 'sticking' anytime soon. The club moves from strength to stength. I reckon privately our board must be f***ing livid with Southern Fail, it is the only (big) negative on a home match day, and the one thing they can do little about.
