I voted for Vicente as I think attracting a player of his class has lifted the team onto another level which in turn has attracted others who have provided much more on the pitch

Calderon for me. Always puts his all in and cares for the club. He has also been crucial in the signing of some of our other Spanish players. It was him that pointed Orlandi out to Poyet. (I'm pretty certain that is true).

Gus himself said the change started when he replaced our full-backs with Calde and Painter. Calde was our first Spaniard and is now one of the most staunch Albion players, a great team player, selfless. I'd say that was the most important signing and, arguably, the best.
