I have already done this poll previously but as requested it it here again, updated and now available after seeing players in action...

So who in your opinion has been Gus Poyets best permanent signing since taking charge?

Poll to follow

Bridcutt, to find a player of that ability on a free is incredible.

Bridcutt hands down... It would be so hard to replace a player of his ability, especially as we got him for free! Consistant performer.

Elliott Bennett was a slade signing unless my memory is playing tricks on me.

But has to be Bridcutt.

Oh and by the way, I'm 99% sure it was Slade who signed Elliott Bennett in reference to your pole, I'm sure Navarro was signed by Slade as well.

I did think this as these were on the 09/10 transfers but didn't think Gus got them in. Thanks!

It's not all about signing players. Under Poyet Adam El-Abd has developed into a class defender. The guy is unrecognisable from what he was a few years ago and that's down to lots of people, including Adam himself - but mostly Gus Poyet

No worries, Navarro was signed in the summer of 2009 and Poyet became manager in November 2009 I think making his managerial debut away to Southampton.

Sebastien Carole - I thought he had been and gone before Poyet arrived.

I agree. El-Abd has become a top Championship centre back. Strikers have a torrid time trying to get the better of him aswell as still being focused on actually having an effect in the game.

Anyway, I would vote for Bridcutt. Honourable mentions to Kitsch, Calde and Ankergren for their League 1 exploits and the Spanish/Argie contingent for the certain something they have added this season.
