Poyet to Reading thread, massively odds on, (maybe) in talks with them [merged]

Tony has told Gus to say he will talk to Reading & has now laid enough bets to pay for an improved loan striker...
Rule number 1 in betting : never bet with someone that can KNOW the outcome
Good work

Would love this to happen and do the bookies over at the same time

The deal for Zingarevich to buy Reading FC dragged on for ages. Why? Because John Madewski wasn't convinced this guy had the dosh to do the deal. There are still very strong rumours that his wealth is nowhere near that reported. So.....
1) Dodgy Chairman
2) Dodgy Chairman sacks loyal employee ( Brian McD ) and upsets everyone at club.
3) Championship club next season.
4) Don't kid yerself they will have a big kitty next season. THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE THIS.
5) Fickle fanbase...24,000 in Prem.....14,000 in Championship.
6) If Bolton and Blackburn couldn't challenge this season and they had better players in the Prem ( and retained most )than Reading.....WHAT CHANCE HAVE READING GOT OF BOUNCING STRAIGHT BACK?
There seems to be this argument going around that Reading are awash with money....Crap...Utter Crap...Getting relegated means missing out on the really big dough.( Which Brighton might be helping themselves to soon )
Seems to me, a strange choice of club for Gus but its a funny old world.

Maybe there is a clause in his contract that says if a premier league make an approach that he is allowed to speak to them. Personally I think he would be on a hiding to nothing at Reading and that relegation is highly likely. There could be a scenario where Brighton are a premiership club and Reading a championship club next season and i think Gus would be totally gutted if that happened. I have a feeling that Gus may go at the end of the season even if we are promoted but to go now to reading would be pure folly. Just one last thing, wouldn't it be great if he said he didn't want to speak to Reading.

... You wonder whether the chairman has given up and is focusing on a project with Gus for next season.

but why would Gus take that, verses finishing what he has started. makes no sence at all, leaving a club a point from potential promotion for a club 7 points from safety of relegation.

Give it a couple of hours..This is the first time ever the club has said they are allowing him to speak. I think that speaks volumes, don't you???

So you think a REPORT on TALKSPORT is the same as "the club has said they are allowing him to speak".

Wow.

WOW.
