still seems a bit odd that he was obviously discussing the offer and by that interview, he must have spoken to the club on how much it would cost to buy out his contract.

How do we know that Poyet didn't turn them down flat?

If The Uruguary FA had approached Poyet it would be via his agent to sound him out. Cant believe that they would offer it to him without interviewing him and we know for certain (well almost certain) that he was not interviwed for it.

Obviously the Uruguary press were onto it and I think thats where the "lost in translation" came about. I dont believe for one moment that if Uruguay had offereed Poyet the post, they would have asked him to buy his own contract out. Compo would be a matter for the UFA and Brighton to sort out.

Take it as a compliment to our manager.

Hmm, I know what you're saying, but am I alone if feeling like we're dating someone way out of our league and it's just a matter of time before one of these "compliments" turns into a betrayal.

I don't think it's anything to be over concerned about, from the wording used.

He told La Oral Deportiva of Radio Universal: "I am waiting to finish
the contract situation with my current team. - This translates to me as:

"I will honour my contract with Brighton and then see what my options are."

Not sure why everyone is panicking.

Who`s panicking. I couldn`t care less whether he stays or goes.

Well if you have ever dated someone out of your league - the trick is to just enjoy it and relax. The sure fire way to turn her away from you is to start detecting the first signs of jealousy.

I've been noting the names of the traitors on this thread this time, in preparation for when we beat Leeds and Gus states his desire to see Falmer built.

Well if it is like the set-up here - he would be the heir-apparent.

They're quite shit at any level though aren't they, I'm sure he could do better if he actually achieved something in management first
