Ant to keep calming peoples fears, another link. Looks like Poyet has already spoken with Bloom. Or perhaps its Poyets way of letting down the Urugay Fa down gently

Welcome to BernamaMedia.com

"Poyet said that he rejected the offer made by the Uruguayan soccer federation due to the high fee he would have to pay for finishing his contract before time with the British club Brighton & Hove Albion. Poyet expressed his regret for not being able to accept the offer"

So he would have, if he could afford it...

ok so that began and ended quickly, would like confirmation from the club though

Do f*** off with this nonsense. He is the MANAGER. Forster is a PLAYER. It is his job to instill discipline and this is a completely separate issue.

And Merry Christmas to you too.

My point is that 'if' it is the case that the comments attributed to Poyet are true, to have acted in such a similar way as NF did, i.e. going through the media discussing your future commitment to the club, then having effectively thrown the book at him for doing so, what are the players supposed to think when he appears to have done exactly the same thing.

I know what his job is and being a 'potential' hypocrit isn't one of them.

Of course if this is all boolox then I don't have a problem with him but still think he will leave at the first 'decent' opportunity.

Havn't read through the 5 pages but surely his statement would make him not 100% comitted to us, a thing he recently dropped Forster for. Bit hypocritical if accurate.

That is how I read it.

So a mumbo jumbo very confusing translation from some South American site makes the Sky Sport headline bollocks does it?

I'm not so sure...but time will tell

"High price to pay", can mean a lot of things in translation most of them would not have anything to do with money.
For example, moving country, Tarrico, breaking contract etc.
They could make a film about it and call it, Lost in Translation........ Oh!

Seriously though, this is what years of instability make you like as a supporter. I think we collectively feel like the girl dumped without good reason one too many times looking too hard for the next disappointment. Quick and maybe overly harsh reactions don't mean we're fickle, just passionate and maybe a little paranoid.

Heres a life lesson..no one is ever 100% committed to anything...especially if the money is right.

Poyet HAD to act on Forster because he was (apparently) trying to dictate the clubs contracts policy...Poyet did'nt "drop" him by all accounts, Forster didn't turn up for selection. Not sure whether there has been any punishment for this from the club...probably not seeing as how Nicky has pretty much accepted he was out of line.

However what Gus shouldnt have done is to discuss any of the uraguay stuff with the media. That was a either very misjudged or a ham fisted attempt to show the Uraguayans that he is patriotic enough to consider it even if he really didn't want to do it.
