It's worse it's a shitewall.
True…..
It's worse it's a shitewall.
4th choice for Spurs.
This can’t happen. What a mess. I wonder when Spurs will get publicly snubbed again?
In the Argus now. No approach made yet but we understand why they’d be interested. Doesn’t sound exactly like a “hands off” comment but I can only see the headline as the actual article is behind a paywall
How long would The Argus last if they started charging for their, er, output.
I don't have a Pay Wall when I look at the Argus. Sometimes a survey but there is always an option at the bottom of the survey to skip it.In the Argus now. They do once you’ve reached a number of views (25 odd from memory) . £2 for two months.
Lucien Favre is more proven and better for starters.Genuinely can’t see who’d replace him [emoji20]
I was shocked when CH left and gutted, but never doubted that something would be in place.
This time we seem on the brink of something IMO, and I’m not sure I can see where we go….. and I wouldn’t want feckin Eddie Howe

According to the Argus the club (or whoever their source was) remains fairly relaxed. We have no wish to lose Potter, have had no approach from Spurs and remain convinced he doesn’t want to leave anyway,
Do you think Brighton spoke to his reps before he joined?Illegal approaches eh?

judging by the standard, that's about what they pay their 'journalists'
That's rather unfair. Staffing levels at local newspapers (including The Argus) have been cut drastically, particularly subbing desks. I believe that a lot of the Argus 'news' is generated from Southampton as there's no longer a fully staffed office in B&H.
About five years ago, there was a debate in the House about the implications of the loss of editorial jobs - 5000 journalists in five years. SInce then, there have been a few thousand more. They're not spending money on freelancers either (I spent five years as a freelance journalist and I know, oh, I know) and newspaper frequently fill pages with a lot of PR puff masquerading as 'news'.
But none of that is the fault of the journalists. I'm sure there are some poor quality ones there but the work levels are such that it's hard to tell - particularly with no subs to put things right.
It's a bit of diversion from the main theme - maybe the poor state of local newspapers deserves a thread of its own
I don't agree, Tony has made it clear that we need to start progressing.Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean top 10 finish but it does mean above 15th. He made it clear he was happy with the performances.
Graham Potter has a lot to do. He needs to keep Sanchez and White (if he is still here) progressing. He needs to get Alzate and Connelly to progress Connelly seems to be going through an of field crisis and Potter and the club needs to figure out how to help him (that could be either arm round the shoulder, kick up the backside or taken out of the spot-light by playing at a lower level and getting his focus on football back, its Potter and the clubs place to find the solution).
Are we going to get Lampty right with his injuries hes had. We have had Karbownik and Caicedo acclimatising since end of Jan. One was a goldenboy nominee last summer the other, one of the highest rated south American kids. Can he intergrate them? Will it be at the expense academy products coming through this season?
If we get these right we could make that progress Tony was on about even if we do sell players like Bissouma and we don't get all the players in that we want. Potter would then have earn't his reputation. It isn't easy and could go completely wrong but this is the route we have chosen to go down.
