Yes, I too remember all those wonderful seasons In the top ten with those two in charge, and no measly 9th. Place for those gentlemen either, eh? The cult of denying and denigrating Potter's achievements really does wander up some strange alleyways in a bid to claim credibility!

You don't like Potter; we get it. He did a good job while he was here; some people need to get that too. Agree he's unlikely to com back, but if he does, the worst thing ever for the Albion? - think Sami Hyyppia, Colin Hawkins, Kemi Agustien, George Curtis, Bill Archer and several others and give your head a wobble!

Anyone who thinks that Potter would have us playing any better with all these injuries has a very selective memory. I just don't get why people are writing Roberto off. Seems stupid to not understand that you get better results when you have your best players. Have they forgotten the football last season or at the start of this season when we had players fit. He said this would happen and seems to have been right.

Absolutely yes, because if we finish lower than 9th that will be in a season that included a European campaign. I’m firmly in the camp of not wanting Potter back after the manner he left us.

Notwithstanding that events have moved on in the last couple of days (record profits, Barber contract, Liverpool cooling interest in Roberto, he giving a far more upbeat press conference) I think the vast majority of fans:

1) Still love Roberto.
2) Don't want Potter back after the Chelsea incident.
3) Always wished Bloom had offered Murray a decent contract rather than push him towards Palace.

I am astonished by what I am reading on NSC at the moment. We are playing the most exciting football I have ever seen with some amazing young attacking players and some posters are calling for more pragmatism, a return to Potter and a call for us to aim for avoiding relegation.

I feel confident the club are going to show more ambition that some of our supporters. Thank f*** for that!!

I think we play shit nearly every week. This is our league goal median this season counting from the wake up against Birmingham. 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5. In 15 out of 21 games I see us score nothing or once. Was it more funny in cups yes for a bit then we threw all the cups first chance possible. Maybe Im not right kind of connosseur but not having much fun at all most times watching us though love the stomps as much as anyone. Should Potter be the solution. No but we can do lot better than we are. Were not playing exciting football. Sorry for rant

Paul Barber is now the highest paid CEO in the Premier League. with a salary in excess of £2,000,000.00



Good managers do not have to jump ship to bigger clubs to achieve there aims or higher salaries.

Tony looks after those, who look after our club.

I haven't really connected with a manager or player since I was a kid. I've gotten so used to them leaving us, that I see most of them as passing through. I wasn't devestated when either left, not so wrapped in the good they provided us that I ignored the bad, but not so fixated on the bad I ignored the good.

We're all football fans and all of us, to one degree or another, are fickle. Had we got the 'first year at Palace' Murray (6 league goals that season) would we have embraced him on his return as we did? He scored 23 goals that took us to the Premier league, of course we'll forgive him for that palace sojourn. Wasn't his fault, it was that nasty Poyet anyway. Or the club's then finance stucture if you're a Poyet fan.

I have my cynicism about whether we had turned the corner under Potter - that early season run he was on was something we've done in previous seasons under him before going on winless runs through Oct/Nov/Dec. But if he had turned the corner and we got that Potter back and were in the fight for the top 6, fans would welcome him back (or at least some of his more ardent detractors would stay quiet), "it was understandable he wanted to test himself at a big six club, and get some financial security for his family, but they never supported and appreciated him the way we do."

Which is exactly why he's not leaving. RDZ isn't in the top ten best paid coaches and coaches CVs look better with trophies on than well run clubs.

TB values collective success led by C level execs, whereas a lot of other football clubs start with the on pitch men's first team. It's what sets us apart, but what you've typed doesn't make RDZ disloyal.
