I don't get it. They are just people. We've had managers and coaches leave before and look where we've ended up. They've moved to progress their careers like most of us have or will at some point in our lives. Get a grip you sad morons.
People are entitled to be angry, upset, rude or whatever. I understand that much more than the people showing no emotion and saying let's all happily wave them off into the sunset

I’m not sure he’s going to read this. Why would you even waste time to write that?

It’s quite clear, the moment he loses three in a row the fans will be on his back. They already don’t want him as manager before he’s even started.

What? Of course he's not going to read this. Why have you 'wasted' your time to reply? I didn't appreciate Potter's quip at the time and I just wanted to point out what type of club he now represents and he can start talking about their history. Why would anyone write anything on any football fans forum?

Chelsea did to us what we did to Swansea, although admittedly we did it during the close season.

I’m with you, your entitled to write anything Albion related on this message board, today has been an emotional roller coaster, not only did we find out Potter was leaving us he was taking nearly all the back room staff, including Roberts & Bruno, simply shocking to the system.
I went from oh well, he was bound to go at some point, now is clearly not ideal, but I get it, but to then learn it’s worse than we thought…
Oh boy, it seems like kick in the Bollox.

Top it off with the news about the queen, I’m just about destroyed today.

Harry is a decent poster, and usually appreciates others opinions, maybe it has not hit him yet and will realise its all about emotions I’m sure.
He will Probably have a freak out himself tomorrow :lolol:

Chin up fella, we will survive and grow, Bloom by name and Bloom by nature is what we will do.

Cheers mate. Also heartened by Rambo who points out that no Albion manager has gone on to anything after leaving TB. That said, this feels like TB's toughest gig yet albeit from our strongest position.

Especially as Barber and Potter live on the same road.

If the reported £12m a year salary is true I can’t see him staying in Hove now with the grief he will get.

Suspect they will stay in area for the kids maybe but outside of the city. Also a bit of a risk moving to Oxshott / Leatherhead for 18 months.

Wonder how many Pizzas Barbs has sent to Potters house last night

Cheers. Nice considerate reply. Pretty belittling and arrogant of you.

If a dozen people feel compelled to start yet another thread on basically the same thing, and they and others claim a right to do so, I'm claiming my right to express my irritation. If you don't like that (etc. etc.).

For a more considered reply, I'm saddened about what has happened, and I hope we can bring in a new team quickly. What more is there to say?

I see no point in recrimination. Some have suggested that Bloom has done something wrong (by letting Potter go?), and others seem to think the club has hit an all time low. I mean.....dear oh dear.

If it weren't for the fact I am excited about who we will appoint and want to keep up with the news, and also the other fun things on NSC (like the wordle thread and the music) I'd do what I'm doing to TV and radio for the next week.....

All that aside I apologize for being rude.

if it's belittling, it's probably because you deserve it. You are bleating like a small child who has had his sweets stolen by the school bully. Grow up man. Life goes on. Look at the history of the club. This is nothing.

Harry, people are permitted to be a bit off about this... a bit angry... it’s normal - you know when you’re emotionally involved, and we all react differently - it’s okay, it’s allowed.

You might disagree with a ranty post, but none of us can claim to be feeling normal today - it’s a reaction to some pretty shitty news... I’m sure some will regret a few posts, but todsy isn’t a ‘normal’ day.

We can’t be all akin to a certain contributor, you know, calculating, emotionally detached, and ‘sensible’ ... passion and sensible don’t really go together.

People (sorry, genuine ticket buying fans - especially those who’ve been there and back) are shocked and hurting ... give them a break ffs.

I have given a more considered reply above. I agree that emoting on NSC is half of its purpose. I also have the right to express my irritation at yet another thread on this topic. I wasn't remotely expecting or even wishing that the thread be taken down or that Mike Small be told to stand in the corridor for a bit. His comments are still here.

Man gets offer of much better club. Man takes new job and his team with him. Previous employer starts recruitment for replacement. Nobody died.

For me, it’s less about any perceived low - as we all know that’s not the case ... it’s about our passion for the club we support and cherish and trying to process this display of calculated brutality... how can we? It’s cold, ruthless ... that’s the bit that genuinely hurts.

We could never understand working for the Albion, with a ‘it’s just a job mentality.’

My eight year old son was crying about it yesterday, trying to explain this to him is even harder.

That’s the reality of these callous selfish actions... does Graham give a flying **** about the young kids who idolised him ? Who can’t understand his logic ... upset and heartbroken... that some of what he said were not far off lies.

He’s let himself down, torn down his legacy in a matter of hours, and smiled whilst doing so.

So, in spite of my excitement about what may be, there’s no escaping the fact that our proper fans (not Potter disciples) are in shock and disbelief.

Yeah, it’s naive but as football fans we’re all naive...

Now I intend to focus on the future, which is ours, shared together no matter the transient spectres whispering sweet nothings, who vaporise at the first sign of greener pastures.

**** the lot of them.

You were expecting anything else from HWT? It's what he does. The emotions, thoughts and feelings of others don't matter.

I totally agree with the sentiments expressed in your OP.

I can understand you building a Cathedral of Hate in the name of Potter if it makes you feel better. I am surprised and disappointed, however. As someone who has lost many things over the years I can assure you that it is much better to keep the feelings of love rather than wallow in recriminatory poison. These bad feeling you're embracing will stay with you a very long time. For me, I'm having none of that.

Never mind.

Best wishes
