Important point, and fair.

I was just irritated by the front page "thread titles".

We should be able to convey disappointment and critique players, managers, board, whoever. If only to just let off some steam!!

Just don't be a sheep, parroting bullshit, when you didn't watch the matches.

I was actually a starter of a thread last night (this one - https://nortr3nixy.nimpr.uk/show...p-with-quot-positives-quot-to-take-from-games), and I absolutely stand by it. I am fed up with being fed the same lines after every disappointing result, I'd take a massively scrappy, dogged, dare I say Chris Hughton-esque 1-0 win at Villa in a few weeks time right now. I'd bite your arm off.

It's a Potter in from me as Bloom couldn't entice any other decent manager to the Albion.

I dont think Potter would mind a "CH-esque" victory either but the myth that playing like that somehow produces better results is indeed a myth.

It's interesting that both styles produce a very similar points tally at the end of the season, just about surviving.

After 33 seconds yesterday Lamptey blasted over the bar after a lovely lay off from Welbeck. If only.......

I think Lallana and Welbeck in conjunction with our younger talent will come good.

If I tried to publish an experiment with n=3 seasons in one group and n=1 in the other I'd be done for scientific fraud.

One of the most significant things for me is that when we first came to live in Malta, blokes would often ask where are you from and then, what team do you support. When I answered Brighton, most said Who?

Now they all know who we are.

I watched us in Div 4 then 3 in the sixties and cannot believe how good it is to watch us now. The one touch football and skill levels are on another level now. Frustrating that we don't win enough games but I think it will come soon.

Totally agree. When I came to the Costa Blanca in 03 people said the same thing, “Who?”
Signings like Vicente, Bruno and Montoya have changed all that.
Also have to say that this is the best football I have ever seen from my team. I am getting a little bit smug but that will never do!

Listening to Lallana made me think "**** the bedwetters". Really.

A lot of them would rather be right (seeing the team lose) rather than being wrong and seeing the team win. Psychological stuff, quite tiresome.

Too true mate.

The glass is always empty and when it gets empty they want cry about that too, even though they know they drank it.

I think some is just follow the leader and others just can't see the progress and what is happening.

We are still going forward and now have the right mix of youth and experience IMO.

Exciting times to come.

.

We have been doing this for years. I always forewarn my son that we will miss an early sitter in the first 10 minutes - and we nearly always do.

Does anyone know how many goals we have scored in the first 10 minutes of a match at the Amex ? Not many I think.
Sorry for a negative on a positive thread. :ffsparr:

Potter in!: Keep the faith people. We are playing some great stuff...just need some goals to further boost confidence. Lallana is experienced, so is Welbeck. It will come.

How can that be anything other than encouraging?

To me, everything points to us being on the verge of a very decent team.

It might go the otherway too but for me, it is worth holding on to see what happens.

Frustrated and encouraged.

Can we just get a run of good games, a bit of luck... I don't care who we play.

There is no such thing as luck, DA needs to resign, GP is clueless, TB needs to sell the club to Osama Bin Laden, should never have sacked CH as the team would have been top of the league as there is no Bournemouth to lose 0-5 to, Lewis Dunk dont care since signing his new contract, Dan Burn is Championship level, definitely getting relegated this year, cant see another win at home...

Just giving you the replies so others wont need to.

Having watched every minute of it I’m not surprised at all.

Shot on target nearly always a goal conceded. No cutting edge up front. Doesn’t take a genius to work out we’re getting it wrong at both ends.

I have faith in Potter 100% though. We will turn this wretched corner.
