Id like to see something like this:

..................... Hart ......................

G Johnson ... Cahill ... Dawson ... Cole

Young ... Milner ... Gerrard ... A Johnson

............. Rooney ... Zamora .............

I'm hoping Capello doesn't piss about with endless substitions in the second half as this tends to disrupt the game completely. However in the second half I'd like to see:

Wilshire on for Gerrard
Bent on for Rooney
Walcott on for Young

and possibly Jagielka on for Cahill

What are your thoughts NSC?

A COMPLETLEY different XI to those who started against the krauts, and that (unt Rooney to sit on the bench for 90 mins.

Personally I would have had Huddlestone & Cattermore as the two holding midfielders with Milner in place of Johnson on the left

Normally, the only relevant part of the friendly is the first half when most of the 1st XI play and the 2nd half is usually a subfest. This time it's the other way around.

I really want to see Rooney and Zamora upfront together.

It's a weird feeling in that I've never felt so disillusioned about an England side and yet this match is the one Bobby could make his debut.

I still live in hope he might resign for us in his twilight years, so the only downside to this might be that if he has a good game his newfound 'England' status could put him out of our price range for a couple of extra seasons.

Anyone apart from the useless bunch of halfwits that played against germany. Maybe include elliott bennett and andy whing to show those divs what to do

How can anyone justify Wilshere even being in the squad? He's had like, 5 good games for Bolton
+ Anyone claiming Zamora should be in the team is clearly wearing blue and white tinted glasses.

Should be:

Hart
Johnson
Jagielka
Dawson
Cole
Young
Huddlestone
Barry
Milner
Johnson
Rooney

Not as if it matters if we lose is it? May as well get rid of the likes of Gerrard and Lampard and see how this lot get on.

Yeah but you keep Rooney and he has been gash for England!
At least Zamora MIGHT be good for England...we KNOW Rooney wont be, so what is the point in playing him?

Like he has been in all our qualifying campaigns and Euro 2004 yeah?
He had a shit World Cup, yeah, but he is still our best striker by a mile. If Zamora was 21, put him in by all means, but he is far too old to establish himself.
Rooney is going to be our future. Zamora isn't. Pointless even including him.
