How long does an intro need to be?

Is this really an intro? However when you hear the start of this song you immediately know what's coming

My last post or I'll be on it forever. Back to 'one a day' thread. It blooms at night. It blooms at night. In the old city, on a desolated edge. Amid the death of all things.....Only in darkness does the flower take hold. It blooms at night. It blooms at night. In my own head, near the hole where hope drains out....In a valley filled with flowers, unseen in the dark, it blooms at night.

Really? I know music's subjective and everything, but I've had less generic bowel movements than the intro to Pretty Vacant.

Edit: As a nod to the average age of the contributors to this thread, I'll throw this in:

Because no punk ever sounded nearly as angry as Ritchie Blackmore on a nice day with a cup of tea.

Nail on head, back of the net, etc, etc. - pure HWT! Classic HWT even! ........... Nobody's heard of it!

(Actually, the intro's not bad, apart from that dreadful electronic drum. That lass needs a few more clothes on though, unless the central heating's bloody good!)

I saw them at a sold out Dingwalls, just before lockdown. I got in early and got the only seat :lolol:. Some young man (in his 30s) looked after it for me when I went to the lav.

The Drabs were absolute magic. True auteurs.

I strongly recommend getting out of one's comfort zone, and getting out. Hopefully we will be able to do so soon

Saw them at the Roundhouse in 77 :lolol:

Are you a fan of Welsh music? If so check out Datblygu. Absolute genius. The poor sod main man, David, died last week, coincidentally. Santa Barbara, now that's a song and a half.
