Think you are right the 5 would sit next to each other then there would be a gap. This makes sense to me as if for example a fan had a young child they would would want them sat next to them.

They said clearly that nearly all seats would be singles there might be a very few pairs. The logic being that a gap of only one seat would not be a problem for an adult and child.

If it's not automatic, why can we only skip 6 games? If we have to actually sign up to it, what's stopping us not bothering to sign up and skipping all games?

Don't know and yes you do not have to go, besides you could be in a vulnerable position and might have to wait for when a vaccine available

Prior to that 1901 members can only select from their respective area. (i.e. 1901 seats)

Yes - that's exactly what I meant - a 1901er winning in their ballot would have to choose a 1901 seat.

Did they confirm it would be alternative seats as a minimum. I remember the example of the group (non household specific) travelling down in one car, so assumed they would be 5 next to each other, obviously not all groups would travel together

I believe alternate seats will be left empty and alternate rows would also be empty.

Sorry to be so grumpy but I think it sucks! I do not want to go a socially distanced, quarter full Amex wearing a mask. Surely they can’t make me pay for a ticket in these circumstances? And yes, I do understand that I can put it on the ticket exchange, but I’m not at all convinced it’ll sell......how are they so sure that people are gonna wanna watch The Albion in this way? I’ve been supporting The Albion for 45 years, I live 2 hours drive from Falmer, went to Gillingham, ST holder at Withdean, I love The Albion as much as anyone, but I still don’t fancy watching under these COVID Restrictions.

You can opt out of six games leaving 13 of which you have approximately a 1 in 3 chance of getting tickets so that’s 4 or 5 games you would have to list on the ticket exchange. At 30% capacity I would imagine there will be no shortage of takers.

I'm with this as someone who doesn't feel comfortable going. But I can only opt out of 6 so lets say I do that then I go into the draw for games 7 onwards and could get my tix and thus prevent someone who wanted to go from going.

Perhaps the ticket exchange will work, let's hope so but I'm not getting the logic behind the club doing this, particularly if they can determine that more people will want to be going than there are seats available

You will not lose you season ticket money they will probably roll it over as a credit for the following season

I can understand the variety of opinion about the ballot and how it will work but in fairness to the club I think they’ve had a pretty good stab at things. The principle of the zoom conference consultation was excellent imo and worked very well. Our club has led the way in communication throughout the Covid nightmare and tonight was another example of it. The transport issue is one that still needs further clarity but at least we now know how the basics of ticketing are likely to work and fans had chances to pose questions which were to a great extent answered as fully as possible. Well done all.

I’m with you mate. There could be about 9,000 fans rattling about in our 30,000+ stadium and, if some newspaper stories are to be believed, no one will be allowed to sing either. The whole thing will be a poor imitation of what watching The Albion should be. Do you think they’d allow the Norther Standers to stand like they normally do? I really doubt it. Singing and standing is an absolutely massive part of going to the games for me. Sure, some people will love sitting in silence, but it isn’t for me and that’s not what I paid for.

Seeing fans saying ‘we’ll just have to put up with it for now’ is quite disheartening really. We don’t even know how long this will go on for, this could go on for a whole season. Do you think people will renew if it did? I bloody wouldn’t and (up until this season) I’d only missed 1 home game in about 10 years. This could go on indefinitely unless us fans and our clubs take a stand against these ridiculous restrictions by this government. At some point, we’ll going to need to see if we can get back to a full stadium again, I’d rather do that at the start of autumn than the middle of the flu season where every cough or sniffle will diagnosed as a new Covid case.

What do you think would happen if all our fans decided they weren’t going to go?

(As for anybody else: I’m not going to get into Covid on this thread, and if you think we’ll be risking lives by having full crowds then I think you are a tinfoil hat nut job as there is no evidence that would happen)

Covid rules re sharing a car are that they must be from the same household or two household bubble. No doubt the club will confirm but I suspect that you can only sit with people under the same criteria, ie one household or the two household bubble.

No perfect system ....no chance of pleasing everyone ....but I believe our club will be doing its very best.

No one knows how the country will go between now and next May but you have to hope and plan
