The tactical setup tonight was top drawer. Really impressed how we managed to get Minteh both covering at right back and carrying a huge threat. Everyone seemed to cover and press the space they needed to. Too often this season we’ve had huge spaces in behind us - but tonight they were slammed shut without dulling our threat.

Enjoyed the mix of longer balls, build-up play and on the break. It really came together.
It was the first time we looked like a functioning team under this manager for a whole game. I’ve criticised him a lot (rightfully so I believe), but you have to give credit when it’s due and he got this one spot on. It’s almost like he’s finally learning.

As to the OP:
Mitoma’s goal
Minteh had a fantastic game at both ends of the pitch
Lamptey continued his good recent form to defy the critics
Webster and JPVH
Bart’s assist
Baleba, who started very slowly but then dominated the pitch
Georgino for a couple of moments of magic

The only downsides, if I was to be really picky, are:
We should’ve scored more - JP and JV missing sitters
And Welbeck, who I thought had a poor game. We need to be careful managing his minutes as the only out and out striker we have at the club now.

Have to disagree with you about Welbz, he set up two goals.

Previous.

Last time we met at the Amex with newish managers we won by 3. We then went into an overdrive of electrifying football and they went into a tailspin of bickering, primadonna, planet **** failure. And the world was a better place.

Hallelujah.

More of the same.

I trust the process a bit more.

Roma is no longer in my last two in person wins

Clean Sheet

Keeping a similar starting 11 works - who knew

Really? Lamptey looked at least as good as Perv. Webster looked at least as good as Dunk. Hinsh looked at least as good as Ayari. So, who else?

I think JPVH & Webster are the best pairing now.

Hinsh walks into our midfield, oozes quality.

In a fully fit squad:

Kadioglu for Veltman
Dunk for Webster
Estupinan for Lamptey
Joao Pedro for Welbeck

The debateable one is Ayari for Hinshelwood
