HINSH. Thought he was drafted in because we were desperate. Turns out he's genuinely quality and all of a sudden one of our top young talents.

MODER. Was concerned that he'd be a fraction of the same player following such a big injury. But he looks so sharp and fits in this side like a glove.
It's encouraging to see some of the previous form . . . QUite clearly a little nervous/hesitant, he needs more game time to get match fit and confident. That cross was superb

Van Hecke out of this world
Gross here there every minute brilliant
Milner superb, so clinical, so talented

I enjoyed the way the little Hammers sat back and we battered them. Last half hour that was a 0-0 thrashing.

Be proud Albion fans that you dont watch that dross little Hammers dish up more than twice a season.

Buonanotte had a solid game and has started to now improve match by match he's 18 and going to become a integral part of our set up in the next few years if we keep hold of him,I like this lad a lot and without getting carried away I can see him pin down that Macallister role next season if he keeps on improving at the rate he is doing so now, well played young man.

We’re clearly a far superior side to West Ham.
We're clearly far superior to a side that has taken 4 points off us, is above us in the league, has played 3 straight seasons in Europe and won a trophy last season?

You do realise we like to mock those idiot Palace fans who say things like they'd have 7 players in a strongest BHA/CP XI, right?

And one that has won six out of their last eight games, or something. We played better than West Ham tonight (but still didn't win) - that's it. Saying we're a superior team is a bit OTT, IMO.

No I think we are a superior side to them. Both our games have been freak results really, we should have won both.

They are an average team, just have good individual players in Bowen, Kudus, Areola and Wanker-Prowse who single handedly get them points. They are dull as shit.

Your comments are subjective though. The facts on the other hand show that they took 4 points off us, are ahead of us in the league and won a trophy last year.

I'm not saying we're anything other than a good side, and feel we might well improve on our 7th place - but there is nothing "clear" about your assertion that we are "far" superior to West Ham.

Agree. Different styles of football is the difference. One great to watch most of the time; one complete dogshit to watch most of the time. Achievement wise though over the last few seasons (what ultimately counts) shows we're not superior to them on the pitch

This. Wee are half way through the seaon now, and the league table clearly doesn't lie.

Albion fans are so blinkered sometimes, I thought it was a good result tonight, and very happy to be heading home with a point.

I'm not even sure West Ham are that bad a watch most of the time. Sure, they anti-footballed their way to a point tonight, but they went to Arsenal and won 2-0, they put 3 past Chelsea and so on. I doubt they're that bad to watch until a possession team comes to town.

I agree with the poster you're replying to. I thought they were very very lucky to beat us at our place, and a bit lucky tonight.

In both matches Moyes was given too much credit. Like he knew that we'd continue bugger up multiple clear cut chances and take the very few that they create.

They are on a good run fair enough, but it won't last. They will slip into mid table and we'll finish comfortably above them

Again, this is subjective. I guess RDZ knew that Soucek was going to miss a sitter from 4 yards too?

West Ham are 3 points clear of us half way through the season. You seem supremely confident they will finish 10th or 11th based on watching two matches of theirs. Tell that to Arsenal.

Difference is wages between us and West Ham, and they have a 60k stadium revenue income.
We are a better footballing team to watch.
Do we want to win trophies or be a better footballing team?
What would you prefer?
And that is a genuine NSC question as we have the ambition, but at some point we have a ceiling on wages, where can’t get to CL or even consistent EL level if we don’t pay wages.
It’s fine having the odd gem like Hinsh, but we can’t rely on that if we want stated ambition of the club that ‘there is no ceiling’.
There is unfortunately and that’s wages.
