It was a thread about the positives. I presume that's why so many other negatives (lennon's crosses, SWP, Rooney) were not mentioned ("glossed over")
Exactly

Really? Not what I saw
if you can't remember the game ,how the f*** did you manage to walk and eat noodles at the same time and how can you remember the chicken balls ,did you find one in your top pocket 'asmornin'....
Great to see a thread with a balanced view of the game, and I pretty muh concur with most of the posts on here. England certainly wern't shit, and on another day we'd have won that match comfortably - the USA were VERY fortunate to escape with a point, and they know it.
Individually there were more good performances than bad, and we had them on the back foot for most of the game. Rooney was disappointing but we know he'll come good, and with the pace down the flanks, we'll have more joy against a team that hasn't just set out for a draw.
Not a brilliant performance by any means, but nor was it the car-crash a lot of people are making out. Same old same old though, to most of the media and the sheep who follow it, we're either world-beaters or complete and utter shit, with nothing in between.

Tony Bloom might manage to get Robert Green on a free transfer?
The Lampard - Gerrad partnership finally working properly.
