Portsmouth to be docked more points

Should have been wound up by HMRC but they have juggled with their debts so that HMRC do not hold a casting vote on a winding up order. Disgraceful situation that the FA for their part and the courts for their part should have sorted out.

They shouldnt be still playing as they should have been wound up under the HMRC petition. The have now juggled with their debts so that HMRC do not have sufficient % debt to carry out their threat. This is a disgrtaceful situation that the courts for their part and the FA for theirs should have sorted before now. The minmum that Portsmouth should get is the same as Swindown demoted 2 divisions so that would mean they are relegated to The championship and demoted 2 divisions is to the conference. Their crime is no better or worse than Swindon who paid illegal payments to players. Portsmouth illegallly signed the players knowing they couldnt afford to buy them.

I thought that would only happen if they failed to have a CVA in place by next season? They've seemed quite confident of getting that, as far as we've seen so far.

I think they were quite confident of beating the drop too.

I hope they get absolutely HAMMERED by the FL.

Finally they'll REALLY have something to whinge about.

IMO that's still not far enough, not because it's Pompy, but because I feel that there should be much much harder penalties than just a measly points deduction any team who goes into administration twice in 10 years.

Fine with me.

Well I might not chuck them out of the league completely, even though the thought of them replacing Chester City in the Blue Square Premier and playing at Havant & Waterlooville's ground is actually rather tempting.

OK, yes, I'm with you. Chuck them out. And of the cup, naturally, because they're making money out of that while still failing to pay charities, schools, milkmen and office staff what they're rightfully due.

If Pompey get send down through the leagues it means Palace and Sheff Wed will not get relagated.:US:

I'm sure Palace will be just fine anyway. Wednesday have blown it.

As I said, the BSP has had a spare place ever since Chester went bust. Would be kind of appropriate, I think, if Pompey were offered that place. Obviously they'd have to reduce their wage bill to fit Conference regulations.

And I don't know if Fratton Park would meet the ground requirements of the BSP.
