That's a myth. He currently is in the second year of a three year contract at Palace, he wasn't in the final year of his contract when he signed for us from Rochdale, and his goals/games ratios for us was relatively constant when he played for us.

He's conducted himself classily when scoring against us for Palace since leaving too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm relieved that he is not playing Monday, but that's as far as it goes.

Some of you on here need to look back on your threads in the cold light of day and realise what utter drivel you have written. As has been said, he left us for financial reasons (short career etc...) and has now suffered potentially a career threatening injury. I couldn't care less who he plays for and I'm not privvy to the Palace forum, but did they crow about CMS/Hoskins after their injuries ? There certainly were'nt many Brighton supporters at Bristol to witness that ! But because it's Murray you all come out of the woodwork.
Hope we go on and finish the job on Monday, but am not complacent. There are other players ready to step up to the plate and Holloway is no fool.
Just hope they don't go to the FL and try and make a case for playing Dobbie !
PS I am not a 'JCL', but a supporter of some 50 years standing.....

It wasn't a dive to win a penalty. He caught his studs in the turf when he twisted and his knee completely went, looks serious and wouldn't wish injury on any sort of player, even an ex one of ours.

100% this! Clearly no dive and a serious injury. Brighton fans singing "let him die" and "there's nothing wrong with him" really cringeworthy and lacked class.

Give over. At first I thought he had dived, and given his track record nobody can be blamed for thinking that. He wins pens. Obviously it was far more serious and you don't wish injuries like that on players, but you can't blame the crowd for having a crack at him.

Hope its not too serious. He showed a lot of humility when they stuffed us at the Amex last season, and was a great striker for us.

Murray didn't leave Brighton for Palace cos he was a fan, he wanted more money and now he has got it. I don't understand what the problem is with fans expressing their views, some hate him and are glad and some are sorry for him, it's a forum FFS. Isn't it why we are here?

Well we thought it was a dive initially from the middle if the Albion fans. Then I thought he was faking an injury to avoid a booking for diving. Crying wolf and all that. Hope he gets better soon (as someone said whilst we were standing outside the ground waiting to go to the station "hope it's a miraculous recovery on Tuesday morning".)

That's fair enough but rejoicing in Murray suffering what looks like a really nasty injury is a bit tasteless. If it was anyone else I'm sure the same people would be wishing him a speedy recovery.

Well we thought it was a dive initially from the middle if the Albion fans. Then I thought he was faking an injury to avoid a booking for diving. Crying wolf and all that. I was nearer the front, and immediately he went down he was hitting the pitch with his hand which usually indicates a lot of pain. Some of his Albion ex-team mates were also watching him get examined with concern.
It was tweeted last night that he went straight into an ambulance.

I'm not doubting for a second that he was terribly injured. Just saying that our first instinctive reaction to Murray falling down in the box was not concern. It was eye rolling. I hated the "let him die" chant. At any stage that was unnecessary once it was clear he wasn't getting up.

So is 20K a week mate but luckily for him he can fall back on that

It looked bad as soon as he went down, he was clearly hurt very badly indeed. He may struggle to be back for the beginning of next season. I don't have a problem with Murray he had a far superior offer and looked after his future, fair play to him. I hope he recovers well from this injury.
