It happens, all part of the game. At the time though it looked like he was trying to win a peno! Think he's a complete bellend but wouldn't wish any injury on him.

Initial reaction when it happened was "yes, thats him out for Monday" as I think most people would have thought, we would take any advantage offered to us, but after a minute of him on the ground and it becoming obvious it was not a small twist then you start to think back to other freak injuries that have ended careers and it kind of takes the initial shine off the gut reation. The guy has a family and has to support them (and yes ok 20k a week for 2 years will work out to the equilvalent of an average person earning 40k a year for 52 years, not accounting for tax, so way more than most of us will earn in a lifetime)
I hope it turns out to be just enough to put him out of Monday's game but he's all better shortly after. I suspect it's a lot worse than that though - and I can't wish long-term injuries on anyone who needs their body to earn an income.

Got to admit I cheered at first of the thought of Murray not playing Monday, but that looked nasty so I wish him well, but that is football & I think we have had our fair share of bad luck with CMS ( he did look strange without his locks) & Will Hoskins.
We have home advantage now & I feel more relaxed now the away leg is over a great result for us roll on Monday.

i was out of my chair yelling "diving kant" at the telly box but when it became apparent he was actually hurt was sorry for him............wouldn't wish a cruciate injury on anyone.......he is out of form anyway, bolaise looked much more lively when he came on.

Good player who did well for us and got a decent pay rise to go to new employers. Most of us would do the same and no different to RVP going to Man U from Arsenal. It was a career move. He has behaved with dignity and respect against us since and I wouldn't wish a career threatening injury on any player, let alone a former Seagull. I'm not sorry he's out Monday, but wish him a full and swift recovery.
Exactly this...... Hope it doesn't finish his career or restrict him.

Glad that hes out for the second leg but very sorry its cruciates. Those of you who think it might just be a few months are idiots. The cruciate is one of the most common reasons for players finishing their career early (recovery period on average is 6-12 months but only 50% players fully recover). I really hope not but that could be the last time anyone sees Murray on a football pitch.

That's a myth. He currently is in the second year of a three year contract at Palace, he wasn't in the final year of his contract when he signed for us from Rochdale, and his goals/games ratios for us was relatively constant when he played for us.
He's conducted himself classily when scoring against us for Palace since leaving too.
Don't get me wrong, I'm relieved that he is not playing Monday, but that's as far as it goes.
