Poor away support

People on here have been saying what a marvellous away support we have but do we?

Bank Holiday, playing a team just above us in the division who we could overtake if we won so an important game and only 3 hours up the road.

What do we get half of a stand that holds 2000 people and then only about 75% full with plenty of empty seats.

I estimate we had about 800 maximum at the Wolves game is this good suport?

sounds pretty good to me during bank holiday traffic, in the sales and when most people are broke after christmas or should be spending their time with family who have made the effort to visit them.

So what if it was just after Xmas.

I bet all the people that didn't go will want to go to Spurs- a game that we will probably lose in a tournament we will never win.

I believe that the Tottenham tickets should have been sold as a double with either Wolves Sheff Utd or Cardiff.

This is not sour grapes as I have tickets but my sons who applied at the same time by seperate envelope didn't get them.

Would have been good and would have made for higher attendances at the league games, where it is really important to get behind the team.

to be fair your maths is way off many more than 800

My estimation is based on the fact that the stand holds 2000 (fact) there was a segregated area between us and the Wolves fans so we had a maximum of half of the area i.e 1000. There was a minimum 200 empty seats.

If you heard at Withdean on Boxing day, we SOLD our allocation of 1750. :jester:

I was in the lower part of the stand and the section we had look full from where I was.

The Jack Harris Stand has a capacity of 5,355. Not 2,000, that is just the portion handed over to the away team.

Idf that stand holds 2000 the the two stands down the touchline must hold 12,000 EACH. Do your maths first as the bottom tier on one of them holds about 4500 because thats where aways fans can be housed if the club can sell that many tickets. :dunce:
