Political Debate: Number 2

I don't like Cameron but thought he did ok. Clegg shaded it, but Brown & Cameron weren't far behind. I don't expect polls to change much.

I did like the exchange on immigration - an issue Clegg won hands down. He made the others look a little silly

I don't have Sky so couldn't see the debate but I note that the YouGov poll declared Cameron the winner.

as 10cc say, not in hove
thought brown won that, shame he got a little uptight in the final ten minutes. clegg was ok, bit disappointed with him tbh, cameron was wishy-washy and to me third. got to say though, all three came out of that debate pretty well.

Both Ladbrokes and Paddy Power have Cameron favourite to win this evening.

Paddy Power has Cameron 1/2 and Clegg at 2s. Thought it was much closer than that myself.

Yougov now saying Cameron won.

What do the bookies use to decide? Surely a poll for The Sun could be have a bit of a Tory bias.

Brown just doesn't get the amnesty idea does he, coupled with a border police force and more enforcable entry and exit processes it does seem like a sensible solution to the issue. Gordon just thinks it will act as a clarion call to everyone around the World who wants to come to the UK. Surely the Lib Dem proposal will let people know that we are no longer a soft touch, but if you have been living here illegally for over 10 years there is a way for you to be absorbed by the system but only if you are willing to live by it. Anything that can stop a repeat of the Morecambe Bay cockle picker tragedy has to be worth a try, the current system can't.

It was more or less a 3 way draw tonight, how an accurate poll can be produced 1 second after it finishes though beats me, Clegg still rolling on and he had a great finish, Brown was ok, cameron better than last week but he couldnt have been much worse.

Do you not have Freeview? it was on Sky3 and BBC News (and Sky News, as it happens, is a regular Freeview channel.)

I think it's on BBC2 again in a while.

Strongly disagree - how ON EARTH can you have an immigration ploicy that decides where in the UK you can go/work/live?

Once you're in, you're in. Or is he suggesting you tag all immigrants?

Is anyone else deeply sad that these are the leaders of the three most high profile political parties in the UK? I'm struggling to gain any enthusiasm for any of them.
