The empty seats don't necessarily mean that they are available. You may have seen two empty seats together but that was because my other half & I were too ill to attend.

I didn't think their singing was that bad.

I sit near the police box and although I don't like every song they sing I really appreciate what they do to get the atmosphere going with their songs and banners. Most of all though I like the fact they wind up the moaning old codgers on here who rather everyone sit on their hands and occasionally mumble seagulls... seagulls.

Wrong on both counts - Im in between and join in songs whoever starts them all the time. I've even started them at goldstone, priestfield, withdean and the Amex don't you know!

There were plenty of empty seats in the middle of the North Stand on Saturday... and probably will be on Tuesday night... why not just move?

I think Titanic means doing the old theatre trick of spotting where there are empty seats better placed than yours and then moving into them...

The stewards would probably intervene if done too obviously and en masse but it wouldn't take SAS training to get most of the PBC infiltrating NS central tomorrow night...

You are lucky that you get to join in with the songs started in the centre/East of the NS. I have tried to do the same from WSU but it doesn't work very well.

At every home game bar two, one being the Arsenal game, the 5 or 6 seats behind me in the North section F have always been empty all season. I personally think that if any STH seats are not used more than ten times a season, then these seats should be allocated for sale the following season after notifying the seat holder of course who can opt to move to another part of the ground. The ground must know electronically when the card is swiped to get in for each sth seat, then maybe the central sections of the North can be filled up with people who want to sing etc . (or am I talking b******s?)

I'm in Block F don't tell them that.

It was great being in the north stand tonight - the fans all played their part.

I think one of the problems is the length of time it takes for a song to reach all across the north stand.
one end will start a song, then by the time it gets across the other side, the same area would of started another one. So you end up with 2 different songs.
my advice would be to keep each song going longer,giving enough time for the whole stand to be singing as one.
i sit in the east and its quite clear to me this is what happens.

I think it may have been a little bit better tonight but there were still a couple of times when the not joining in was obvious (and pathetic).

To be honest, the way we played, if the atmosphere had been crap tonight then we should all just give up...!
