I'm currently listening to Ross Noble appearance on Off Menu - Gloriously batshite cra-cra.

I'm 50 minutes in and he's still on 'Poppadoms or Bread'.

Jon Ronson- Things Fall Apart season 2 starts on Tuesday on BBC Radio 4/Sounds
Thanks for the reminder, series 1 was excellent esp the origins of the American religious far rights stance on abortion.

Because of this recommendation had series one on through the trip up and back to Stoke, it's excellent and I'm looking forward to hearing series two. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it. He's done some great stuff but I think Things Fall Apart is by far the best

This morning I listened to ep 3, quite stunning and in no way surprising.

If 'we' manage to live beyond tomorrow I'm sure history will look back at 'us' and assume we were all batshit crazy.

Frank Skinner's contract isn't being renewed by Absolute Radio, so that'll be an hours podcast hole in my week.

That said I've got into

which is kind of a UK version of The Watch.

The recent RHLSTP with Joe Pasquale was up there in the top 5 all time ones.

The Rest is Entertainment is just a lovely listen.

Chatabix has been as glorious as ever. Now into metal detecting

I've recently been working through Smartless which is good.

Finally the Elis James/John Robins 5live show is now 2 pods a week.

As mentioned above, the Robins episode of Off Menu was fantastic

Elis and John are my top boys.. as a PCD the online communities are fantastic on Fbk. Dave's faux pas re Lorraine Kelly was great!

Exploring Emotional Overdraft

Talking to people who run a business about how they handle stress and the pressure.

This episode is fantastic - and so revealing. The guest went to some dark places. It's worth a listen.

Confession - this is my pod. But I really do believe it's a belter. I'd love your feedback.

Thanks for that.
RHLSTP is still in my rotation but I rarely listen and had certainly glossed over this one.
I listened today and you're right it's so funny.
I very nearly had to pull the car over for Torvill and Dean.

The gift. Described on BBC Sounds as "Without us realising, an enormous DNA database has been created online. But what happens when online ancestry tests reveal more than you had bargained for?"

The Black Art. This is incredibly geeky, it's two guys neither of whom is a professional magician in the performing sense, but they make tricks for magicians for a living. That's designing physical gimmicks but also designing sleights and methods and approaches and performances and scripts. The podcast is an hour of them riffing through ideas and is a fun (I think) insight into the creative process. It can at times presuppose a knowledge of tricks and techniques by name or it can be confusing, but I enjoy it. (I'm a magic geek though.)

A bit niche but the British General Elections Podcast written and narrated by academic Tim Smith is excellent if you like your political history. Available on Apple, Acast, Audible etc, the first few episodes deal with the 1950 election, with future episodes, I believe, working their way through more post-war elections.
