May I direct you to this comment...

"I would like to do it like Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger," added Poyet. "If we are improving and getting better, even if it is slowly, and if we are playing the way I want to, then I will be here for many, many years."

I am not saying that he will go, but I am saying that he will be linked to jobs in the media. That is all that has happened with Murray, I'm not surprised other clubs are interested!!!!

As a professional, surely he wants to play in a winning team, in a nice stadium with adoring fans? Surely he dreams of success and glory and not just £££'s? If not, then he is a DICK. Do you think he should go to play for Crawley next season if they offer him say 25% more than we do?

I know the rough ball park of the figures but am not going to post them on here.

And no, I would not go to Crawley for 25 per cent more. But Palace, whatever we think of them, have a new, rich board, plans of their own to move to a nice new ground and a team which is actually not doing too bad since Burley left.

No point in booing him over something that hasn't happened.
I'm sure Hoskins doesn't get hassled by the Rovers fans despite the fact he'd said his goodbyes & packed his bags.
Can't recall any reports of Noone being treated badly by Plymouth fans either when all those rumours started.

Appears based on what? That he's been linked with other clubs? Can you really blame his agent for looking at/talking to other clubs? If he can't agree a new contract with us do you not think his agent would be a bit amiss to have no idea who's out there looking for a striker like Murray?

If there is any truth in this rumour, with 5 games left in the season and loads left to play for then his agent needs a good swift kick in the bollocks. Do what you have to do for your client but keep it out of the media on the day OUR club is celebrating. To release that information today is cuntish and suggests that some Palace twat is behind the timing. Never mind though, we'll get more publicity once we've got three more points and they'll be happy to have survived yet again. If Murray goes, he'll be replaced with better.

In Gus we trust.

without his goals we would not be top of the table and so far clear..................he is one of our best players so I for one will be clapping not booing.

Really? You think that an agent highlighting his client's availability on a day in which his current club and playing squad (amongst which he is the top scorer) are being lauded for their general brilliance is a bad thing for the player?

I'm sorry but if we all took off our football/BHA glasses off we'd do the same thing in a shot if given the opportunity.

Simple their respective clubs needed/need the money and their fans understood that. We don't need the money and in any other year and to any other club I'd wish Glenn well in his negotiations but not to Palace.

I seem to remember Zamora saying he wouldn't play for Palace and Ian Chapman (yes Brighton born I know) saying he wouldn't be able to look at himself in the mirror if he went there. People maybe over reacting is because this is Palace we are talking about..and seeing as Murray will know how we feel about Palace, if he is in negotiations with them he'd have to be a bit thicker than your average footballer not to understand why Albion fans might be pissed off.

anybody who does anything but cheer our 21 goal man in our promotion season over a unsubstantiated rumour is a bit a bit special and should really not be allowed out on there own

I'm quite confident no one here knows for sure, as it sounds like nothing has been decided for definite yet. Still, that never stopped the witchhunt last time, why would it this time round?

And what is this confidence of yours based upon? Is it beyond the realms of possibility that someone here does actually know?

I love all these diktats people are giving though. No-one should be allowed to do this, no-one should be allowed to say that, no-one should be allowed out unless X, Y or Z. Anyone tried to tell me what to do then I think I might just boo them.

:clap::bowdown: Exactly

Its really up to Murray and his agent to get the best deal possible. Remember these aren't premiership players, where one contract has you set for life.

If he can get himself an extra 3k a week on a longer deal elsewhewre, say 3 years...... thats worth an additional 450,000 over the course of his contract. If you consider a successful playing career is about 10-15yrs max thats a big deal

Its up to the club to match it, and I'm sure they'll sort out all the deals in the next 2 weeks, now they know they're in the championship.

Bottom line, glenn is employed to do a job .........he's done it very well, so numerous potential employees are looking at him.....simple.

This summer is probably going to be the busiest in the clubs history and about 75% of the transfer news will be pure speculation......but if you're all going to freak out at every rumour, then its going to send you round the bend ......RELAX

Enjoy the moment.....the current regime reek of quality and success, and everything they've touched so far has turned to gold..

His confidence is based on the fact if you dont agree , you are THICK.

Over the fact a rival club is sniffing around him and is likely to offer him a deal.

Hold the witch hunt back until / if he actually leaves.

A few extra chants of 'We hate palace' is ok, though?

Why the hell not? And if not, why mention you 'know' something we 'don't', when we could all make a semi-educated guess?

Oh, but then you couldn't take some sort of twisted moral high ground. I get it.
