I won't apologise for that opinion, precisely because perseus hasn't just been expressing "his opinion" on NSC - he's been persistently misrepresenting the facts about the planning process and he's been peddling his ideas about "Pende" on other non-football related forums.

You're asking for answers to several points here. I'll try.

1. "Falmer council would have chosen some other sites anyway".

Of course they would. What annoys me is that, thanks to perseus and his long-standing campaign for his fantasy development at "Pende", there are people on NSC and on the Argus forum as well, who have been deluded into believing that there might be a case to be made for the Shoreham Airport site.

Despite all his efforts to portray himself as some sort of planning "expert", Perseus really does not understand the planning process or the issues that affect decisions like this one. However, by constantly raising the issue, he has bigged-up his pet site to the point that Falmer Parish Council are now seriously putting it forward.

Falmer PC are NOT interested in whether the Albion get a site anywhere. They would be happy to see the Club die. If it was just a question of poring over a map of the area in search of an empty space, they would have done that at the first Public Inquiry. They didn't. They accepted then that the Airport site wasn't suitable. I believe that it is ONLY because of the campaign by perseus that they have now had second thoughts.

The only remotely puerile insult that I personally have posted was to quibble when Mr Popkins suggested that perseus might not be a wanker. I disagreed. Even you think he is "stupid".

He doesn't. The plea I've made earlier in this thread is a genuine one. Richie wants the board to be moderated effectively. I merely suggested that he could help - as could everyone - by joining in the discussions on existing threads, rather than start a new one.

1 - Yes I get it. I understand the situation seeing as you never stop banging on about it. But you still haven't answered the question. If, as you say, Falmer were going to suggest other sites then what difference does it make if it's Pende? All the arguments on here mean we now know what to expect. For me it seems that by suggesting Pende we're actually at an ADVANTAGE. Rather than suggesting a site at the last minute that we would know f*** all about at least we know what we're up against in Pende.

2 - Say what you want Lord B but you've done nothing except moan and groan about perseus for f***ing ages. I can't be arsed finding the quotes but I think you will find it is you and TLO who have created the hatred towards this guy.

3 - Why not tell everyone else the same thing then? All the others who start similar threads (eg me). It's because Richie is a nice guy who won't answer back whereas most of you like to lick each other's arses to become Super Popular Poster on a pathetic message board. For f***'S SAKE it's like office politics all over again.

For what it's worth, I think Richie did an unbelievable job with the Wrexham stuff (does that count as an opinion of my own?) and I have said so. I totally agree that Richie did far more than I did on that particular day - I just did what I could. If that's a problem for you then so be it - I won't lose any sleep over it.

Some fuckers have posted his name, photo, address, phone number, website - that's what's really got me angry. And, do you know what, it's left a real sour taste in the throat to be a Brighton fan. One thing ringing up Wrexham chairman is one thing but advocating terrorising our own fans? I've lost a lot of respect for a lot of people on here today, because I've never seen a witch hunt of this being a relatively new user to the board.

Why this particular thread and not other duplicate threads started by other people?

Again simple. The mods (Artois and I) were tearing our hair out earlier on, trying to keep an eye on what was going on. In particular, we were endeavouring to ensure that mentions of Andy Horton's phone number were removed whenever they appeared. It ain't easy when multiple threads are running in parallel.

All this, while being bombarded by a series of PMs - most of which were asking us to do more moderation. And Watford O had restarted his spat with various NSC Users who were joining in with gusto.

Sometimes modding can be an exhausting business - particularly if you are trying to do something else that is completely unrelated to NSC. As jonogulls says, violent puerile imbeciles don't make it any easier.
