Also: a question you still haven't properly answered. Falmer WOULD have raised other sites whether it be Pende or, as I said before, my left arse-buttock. So now they have done so the cost will be exactly the same except we all know the site (via perseus) so perhaps we're actually SAVING money on research. In your hurry to join the witch hunt perhaps you are a little devoid of your normal reality.

And re Morris. Everyone always has a go at him whatever he does simply because they know he won't say anything back. It's called jumping on the bandwagon to try to impress NSC 'buddies'.

Have to say that although I have also been exasperated at many of Perseus's posts, I was also quite disturbed to see an NSC witch-hunt against him. Its not something I've seen on this board before, and I didn't like it. There's usually an element of tongue-in-cheek whenever the flak is flying, but today was really quite vitriolic, and the posting of his phone number etc was, imho, bang out of order.

Perhaps I'm being naive, but I still find it a little hard to swallow that Pereus's posts on NSC have led directly to the NIMBYS pushing Pende into the public inquiry. I just can't see the stuff on here having any direct influence on the planning process. NSC has played a big part in organising and galvanising the campaign for Falmer - but I can't see that the postings of ONE person on an internet messageboard singing the praises of a site in Shoreham has led to it being called up for full investigation. Many of us peruse NSC every day, but in the grand scheme of things, this board is barely a blip on the radar.

I find myself agreeing with a lot of what jonogulls has written today. The abuse and vitriol that has been flying around against one person has got out of hand on here. I don't agree with Perseus's claims at all, but it strikes me that some people have found one person who they can finally identify and hurl all their pent-up Falmer frustration at. The scapegoat has been identified, and so now its open season on him.

The Falmer application will stand or fall on its own merits, and the ramblings of ONE poster on NSC is not going to de-rail that. Some of you need to get some perspective on that.

Im sorry. I do NOT insult perseus. And - apart from the one (previously explained) "wanker" comment earlier - I have NEVER insulted the man.

Every time he has raised questions about the planning process, I have answered him. Every time he has posted inaccurate information - which is frequently - I have corrected it. Politely.

I have been very concerned for some considerable time about the efforts he has been making to promote Pende as a better site than Falmer. Not just here, but in other forums. I have used the word "treachery" to describe this, because he presents himself as an Albion fan and then continues his campaign to undermine all of the work that thousands of Albion supporters have put into achieving a new stadium.

Shoreham Airport was a dead duck at the first Inquiry. There were days and days of detailed evidence about alternative sites. Shoreham Airport was known to have been rejected by the City Council as unsuitable. None of the objectors to Falmer were putting it forward - not even Falmer Parish Council.

In my opinion, it has revived at this stage because Perseus has kept banging on about it, here and elsewhere. As the Colbourne Kid has pointed out, it will cost the Club something like £85,000 to prepare and present the necessary evidence to get the two "new" sites rejected by the Inquiry. That expenditure has a serious impact on the Club and will prolong the uncertainty and have an impact on the playing side.

I don't consider that taking the threat of Pende seriously is "pathetic". Rather, it is a vital part of the campaign for Falmer.

Perseus has been given every encouragement to stop promoting Pende. He has consistently refused to do so, even when it has been put to him that a likely consequence was that Falmer Parish Council would change their previous position and present it as a site for consideration at the new Inquiry.

You claim that Falmer would have come up with other sites, if they hadn't opted for Shoreham Airport or the Cement Works. That's not the impression I get from the conversations I have had with people close to Falmer Parish Council. They have looked at a large number of alternatives and have reached the conclusion that most of them are complete non-starters. I was told that Shoreham Airport was close to being binned as well. Now we find out that it hasn't been.

That's why I'm cross.

For what it's worth, Perseus may or may not have given the lesser spotted NIMBY's another site that they can claim is appropriate instead of Falmer.

It is equivalent to the News of the World publishing addressess of sex offenders and then washing their hands of the issue when lynch mobs start to hound these pathetic individuals, beat them up and set light to their underpants.

Someone legitimately asked who he was, so I cut and pasted contents of his website, to give the requestor a flavour of the individual. I did not post any details relating to his address, phone number or what he looks like, and have changed a removed of photos published of him on NSC.

As for Richie, he is theFrank Spencer of NSC, heart of gold, if a little clumsy at times and tends to put his foot in his mouth on occasion, but we all know he loves the Albion.

whats wrong with posting pictures of the man? simply typing 'andy horton' in google brings him up second in the list. he has chosen to put himself in the public domain. seems odd we can put up pictures of naked women but not bona fide pictures of one of our community. they are his pictures that he chose to put on the web. whether he is in any way responsible for these additional stadium sites is a completely different matter. if we put a picture of him on here it is only a hotlink to his own website.

So perhaps I'm not quite so racist here. I'll stick up for anyone thanks mate. Spent 6 years in the Army - very often sticking up for those being bullied left me on the outside but I'd rather do that than partake in the pathetic witch hunt of yesterday which the Mods took such pleasure in joining in with.

I do understand your point. I wasn't joining in with the witch-hunt because i didn't understand it so much. But this is getting a bit monotonous.
