LI - very harsh on Frutos. He does track back and was far and away the best player on the pitch. For me Hammond did not use the ball well enough, and try and holfd the midfield for us. One of the main reasons why we lost.

Blayney - 6 uncommanding, but showed safe hands a few times, unlucky with 3rd goal, poorly positioned for the first though

Hart - 4 no excuse for deliberate offences when your on the rack, you know he stayed down because he's guilty ! a player of his experience should know better

Butters - 6 played well, good positioning generally but too slow at the upper end of this level
El-Abd - 6
Reid - 6

Carole - 8 explored and dared, with Frutos the 2 best men on the pitch, created our chances
Hammond - 7
Oatway - 7 used what ability he has well, but its limited at this level
Frutos - 8

Knight - 7 element of luck in the first goal, good idea though, gave him the confidence. far too cocky in taking an absolutely shit penalty, then showed even more arrogance in celebrating himself and not the team, the guys a cocksure opportunist imo

Robinson - 6 played as well as Leon the newt, if he'd taken the first half chance I think his confidence would have got the boost.

CKR - 5 didn't see anything to impress me

MMagoo 4. poor substitution decisions again, and poor management at key points in the game

at the end of the day we've led twice and lost, at home. at any level against any team thats unacceptable. and most definitely relegation form. regardless of anyones opinion of players and manager we need to take something from these games
to stay in this division, which is our priority.

Taking off the rose tinted glasses I thought we were the better side in the first half but once Freedman scored to make it 2-2 there was going to be only one winner

Blayney 5 Looked ring rusty lucky a few times coming for crosses should of kepted out winner we miss henderson

Hart 6 a bit unlucky to be sent off steady game looked up for it should of been tighter for first goal

Reid 4 Very poor game Reid is a good player but not a left back very light weight and gave the ball away lots

Butters 4 A poor game for once looked very slow missed mcshane
and backed off for winning goal
el-abd 7 Good game really got stuck in looked good

Oatway 8 Had a really good game won lots of tackles passed the ball well

Hammond 5 where has the promise gone ?Gave the ball away poor first touch

Frutos 7 Great going forward good crossing great shot that hit bar but again to light weight tracking back

Carole 9 Star Man Great game brilliant crossing great on the ball this man is real class

Knight 7 scored a great goal and hit a poor penalty looked great with Jake but poor with CKR

Robinson 7 Why is the kid getting slated yes he missed a few good chances but his movement off the ball is first class caused problems the game was lost when he was subbed

Subs
CKR 3 Very poor game at 2-2 deep into injury time gave the ball away did not hold the ball up or work well with Leon

MM 5 He cost us a point to busy losing his rag at ref to bring on Dodd

Overall another hard luck story we really missed mcshane and butters had his worst game of the season hammond was awful as was both fullbacks.Thought Oatway was class.Dodd will be back for Cardiff and I would give Butters a rest as well time also to give the argie chance. But on a postive note still only 2 points away from safety

As Robinson is a striker and he should be putting those chances away.

correct he should be....

but the fact that he is getting in the good positions to score is a good sign...

just needs some confidence and a goal to kick start that....

Knight - 9 - Outstanding, the Stoke result could have been so much different if Magoo wasn't so selfish

That statment is complete shit. Knight learned his lesson and wanted to prove something which is why he was so good he ran allday and got two goals. HOWEVER had he played at stoke and the whole substitution recaction was swept under the rug they he proboably wouldn't have been as good.

McGhee got it RIGHT!

Blayney 6. No chance with the goals, but doesn't look too assured. I reckon with it being fairly public knowledge that McGhee is after signing Henderson perminantly then Blayney no longer has the motivation to win a deal here.

Reid 5. Out of position, and looks like a rabbit in the headlights when anyone runs at him.

Butters 6.

El-Abd 7. Solid at the back, won plenty of tackles but still worries me with his tendancy to dive in sometimes.

Hart 5. Beaten down the wing on numerous occasions. Unlucky with both bookings.

Carole 8. Always a danger

Oatway 7. Good game from the skipper

Hammond 6.

Frutos 7.

Jake 5. Not taking the chance that he's being given.

Leon 8. Work hard for 90 mins and two goals.

CKR 5.

McGhee 5. A defender might have helped when OGH went off.

Ref and officials -10.

Blayney 6

Reid 5

Butters 5 steady in the air but lacking pace now

El-Abd 7 impressive considering the lack of games he's played

Hart 5 competitive but lacks understanding of position

Carole 8 quality, composed, tricky

Oatway 6 steady

Hammond 6 good in patches, bad in patches. is a good player- justs needs consitency

Frutos 8.5 a great player, along with carole we have two midfielders genuinely up to this level of football.

Jake 4 needs a goal or tow desperately or a long rest.

Leon 7.5 great finish, worked hard

CKR hmmmm

todays game confirmed that we are 2 or 3 players short of a pretty good team.

Falmer, soon...
Blayney - 6 Distribution was good. Couldn't fault him for the goals
Hart - 5.5 Played well despite silly booking and deliberate handball
Butters - 7.5 Rounded for the goal, but with that exception was superb today.
El-Abd - 6.5 Needs a litte more composure, but encouraging
Reid - 4 Positioning was woefully inadequate, he's not a left back.
Carole - 7.5 Works tirelessly for the team, got muscled out a bit today, but tormented the right back, Frutos needs to learn to trackback as effectively
Hammond - 5 Pretty anonymous
Oatway - 6 Not his best performance, but tirelessly effective
Frutos - 6.5 Starting to show how good he is going forward but needs to work harder when not in possession. Left Reid exposed on a number of key occasions.
Knight - 7.5 A typical Knight performance. Every week please.
Robinson - 6 Seems to be lacking a bit of confidence, but was a tough challenge for the Scum defence.
CKR - 6 Ineffective, but didn't really get the service.

Blayney 5 - must been a bit cold with nothing much to do except pick the ball out of the net
Hart 6 - nearing the end of his time, but he tries hard
Butters 3 - playing football is a bit too strenuous
El Abd 4 - really the reserve for Butters
Reid 6 - wasn't actually tested in defence, much safer going forward than Mayo
Hammond 4 - didn't kick anything
Oatway 4 - went to sleep when it mattered
Carole 7 - our most dangerous player
Frutos 9 - MOM a revelation
Robinson 4 - not good enough, but nearly got on the end of a cross.
Knight 8 - great skills and two goals

Sub CKR 4 - disappointing, did even less than Robinson (just about possible)

McGhee - 8 got it right for most of the match, but he did not get the team to react to the Dowie substitutions which swung the match

Looks like the better players were carrying the make-weights. How long can this go on?

Not that much wrong that a completely new back four would not solve, when Chippy is back in midfield.

Blayney 2 - positioning AWFUL for all three goals. Yes Freedman's second was struck well but he got nowhere near it. Shouldn't hav let the third sneak in and what exactly was he doing for the first?
Hart 5 - he's just not a right back is he.
Butters 5 - worst game for a while.
El Abd 6 - I thought he did very well, commanding in the air, needs games to improve.
Reid 5 - poor.
Hammond 5 - can't remember him doing anything at all.
Oatway 6 - battled hard, part of a central midfield lacking any creativity whatsoever.
Carole 6 - did okay, went missing a bit.
Frutos 8 - him and Knight were the best players out there for us, some nice work down the left wing. Great cros for Knight's goal.
Robinson 6 - missed a glorious chance early on and didn't really contribute.
Knight 8 - good finish for the first and a tigerish performance. Make him captain.

Kazim Richards 5 - needs more time on the pitch.

The Mighty 'ford
Blayney 4 -Conceding 6 in 2 games says it all

Hart 6 - Generally solid but lost his head i the last 5 minutes he was on the pitch
El-Abd 7 - One of the few plus' of yesterdays game
Butters 6 - Not the performance we've come to expect but still kept Morrisson quietish
Reid 6 - Tring his nuts off but a left back he aint

Carole 7 - Played well frightened the life out of Boyce
Oatway 8 - A game tailored for his style of football
Hammond 5 - Alarmingly annonomous
Frutos 8 - Superb always looked dangerous with the ball at his feet
Robinson 6 - Not his best game but covered every blade of grass lacked convistion with his shooting
Knight 9 - Fantastic but can't help but feel it was a one off

CKR 3 - Not his best game, perhaps we could into loaning him out to get some confidence and goals under his belt.

Mcghee 5 - Reacted rather than acted, cost us the game by playing Carole right back.

Hart is irrelevant to knight. No i think he got it wrong with Hart but it was said in the heat of the moment and it probably just came out wrong.

Like Knight, then ...

I don't buy all this talk of yesterday vindicating McGhee's actions - Leon's performance was no better than most others of his this season, he just had that bit of luck he's previously been missing. The brace he scored was down to him, not McGhee.
