TCB - 0 the most biased "supporter" on here. Has he posted on the crawley site yet to say what a great game Kuipers had? - I wish people could base their assessments on the game and not so blatantly their personal prejudices. No-one would suggest that Ankergren didn't make a costly mistake but the comments made devalue anything of sense the poster might have to say

Ankergren – 4 – Didn't have a lot to do in the first half but frankly didn't much inspire confidence with his dodgy punching.
Painter – 6 – Sound.
Calderon – 7 - Good all round performance.
Elphick – 7 – Solid and steady.
Greer – 4 – Looked good in the air but it looks like Swindon fans were right about his temper, stupid sending off, very unprofessional.
Bennett – 7 – Didn't see that much of the ball but that goal speaks for itself.
Dicker – 7 – Very good, some great passes and interceptions
Smith – 7 - Very impressed with this bloke.l.
Kishishev – 8 – Imense, pretty much ran the game, will prove to be the best signing we've made this season.
Barnes - 6 - Did okay but I still think he should start on the bench.
Murray – 7.5 – Outstanding today, why do some idiots still knock the bloke ? Very unlucky not to get another goal.

El-Abd – 7 – This is the same bloke that not so long ago many had written off, trust in Gus without a doubt. Frankly Greer may have problems getting his place back.
Battipiedi – N/A – Not enough time
Hart – N/A – Not enough time

Ankergren 4 - I thought he looked ok until "that" moment.

Calderon 5 - Slightly poor defensively today, maybe should have done better with second half chance.

Elphick 7 - Reasonably solid, nice to see him playing it on the floor more, a few decent long passes.

Greer 2 - He is of no use to us in the stands. Whether the chippy little fucker Elding was asking for it, he shouldn't have given the ref a reason to send him off.

Painter 6 - Decent game, got beaten a few times in the last 10 minutes.

Bennett 7 - Smashing goal, fairly busy but needed the ball more.

Kishishev 7 - Steadying influence in the middle, very calm in possession.

Dicker 7 - Nav's injury gives Dicker a real chance to cement his place in the first team. Was a little bit quiet, but is imaginative in possession.

Smith 7 - Like a new signing. Still a bit rough around the edges but fits in with our style of play.

Barnes 5 - Personally think we would have won had there been another in midfield instead of Barnes. Works hard and linked up with Murray good on occasion, but looked low on confidence.

Murray 7 - Decent performance. Good for him to get an early goal in the season, worked very hard and looked up for it.

El-Abd 7 - Great performance when he came on.

Interesting marks and opinions from everyone.

Ankergren - 4 - Terrible error and largely to blame, but was not helped by Elphick backing into him, steady first half, started to panic towards the end of the second though.

Calderon - 6 - Struggling at the moment defensively and looks like he is carrying an injury
Painter - 6 - Good first half, poor second.
Elphick - 5 - For his part in the second goal and general unsteadiness.
Greer - 4 - Just sheer stupidity to get sent off.

Kish - 8 - Good performance, tired towards the end
Bennett - 7 - Great goal, but not as effective as he should have been in the first half.
Dicker - 6 - Not his normal high standards and actually lost possession (highly unusual)
Smith - 7 - Looked to open up Rochdale on several ocassions, but was let down lack of movement from the forwards.

Barnes - 6.5 - Incredibly strong in possession, however needs a goal.
Murray - 7.5 - Great second half performance, though should've scored near the end.

El-Abd - 7 - based on current form, arguably should have started in place of Elphick.

Still feel very disappointed about the second goal.

Why? His work rate was excellent, held the ball up very well. Link up play with Murray was good, creating a clear-cut opportunity. Dropped back into midfield when we went down to 10 men and played very responsibly.

Had one shot. Played Murray in once. Chased back a couple of times without ever looking like catching the opponent and was not strong enough on the ball - diving like a spoon on numerous occasions.

Clearly a game of a opinions and this instance I disagree, his run for Eliott's goal took defenders with him. I stick with the 6.5!

Think you are mostly being a little harsh on the keeper. One bad mistake = one goal. Murray missed a sitter second half and very little comment 'bout that.

Midfield looked really good, in fact class; as does the defence. Forward line looks a shade lacking in bite.

Overall I thought it very promising.

Ankergren 6 - made some good saves in the second half and good distribution, score kept down for obvious reasons

Calderon 7 - solid at the back, looked good going forward
Greer 5 - looked to be playing well until red card
Elphick 6 - had a decent enough game, didn't help for the late goal
Painter 8 - i think he will come to be a huge part of our season, another very solid performance! Nothing gets past him

Bennett 7 - drifted in and out for me, still played well though, great goal
Dicker 7 - keeps the ball brilliantly, another solid performance
Kishishev 8 - Great game, controlled the midfield imo
Smith 7 - good passer, creating some good chances, needs to work on his finishing

Barnes 7 - slight improvement, did some good hold up play
Murray 9 MOM - Brilliant performance, took his goal well, unlucky not to add to it

Im excited to see if Murray builds on the performance we saw yesterday. If he does, he's going to score alot of goals. Held the ball up, brought others into play, made runs, and i hope he really builds on this.

Not to many comments from me other than Murray was absolutely superb. If he sorts his discipline out he will score hatfulls this season. Dissapointing result but impressed at our resolve and style.

The amount of people on here who have the team in a 442 formation beggars belief!
I think they are obviously just making it up as we clearly lined up in the 451 433 system.

ENGAGE BRAINS PEOPLE!

This obviously does not apply to those who got the formation correct.

Indeed. There are STILL people, who actually went to yesterday's game, who believe Jamie Smith played on the left wing.

Jesus.....
