Johnson 6 - Didnt look sharp after 2 weeks without a game

I thought Thomson was our best player today in fairness to him.

Kuipers 6 - Decent double save near the end and kicking was much better than usual in fact at one point he actually kicked like a proper keeper shame none of the team expected it and it landed about 40 yards from our nearest player!

Whing 4 - One of my favourite players but was pretty awful today - passes up the line to absolutely nobody .
Virgo 6 - Average game pretty solid
Elphick 6 - Ditto
Richards 6 - Thought he had a decent enough game

Thornton 7.5 - My MOM today, looked a threat and always wanted the ball.
Thomson 6 - Given him a 6 but to be honest apart from the booking I didn't notice him much
Johnson 6 - Same as Thomson without the booking
Anyinsah 6 - Average, nothing bad but nothing good either

Forster 7 - Don't think he at peak fitness (maybe he never will be at his age) but still looks quality and we are more threatening with him in the team
Murray 6 - Didn't think much of him today, seemed to bottle out of some aerial battles and his lay offs were going astray

Ref 2 - Any Ref that needs the lino to point out a foul/handball when he is 2ft away from the incident should piss off to park football

Virgo 6 - average, looked weak on defensive set pieces
Elphick 7 - needs lynch back
Richards 7 - our best defender by a mile

Thomson 3 - absolute rubbish, was giving the Huddersfield midfield too much space.
Johnson 5 - but only because thomson was invisible, he was having to cover for him

Forster - 4 - worst game in a Brighton shirt
Murray 5 - not his fault...absolutely no service
Anyinsah 6 - looked dangerous but never made any telling runs
Fleetwood - 5 little impact except for 1 run

Overall, I was really positive that we'd win before hand, but I was REALLY disappointed. We were so predictable and easy to break down.

I am really worried now that we're going to be in the bottom 4 by Xmas. We're not going to get anything at Oldham or Stockport and based on the performance today, I can see this team getting relegated.

Richards 7 Confident performance won most tackles and pushed the ball forward well.

Thomson 8 Arguably out of him and Virgo as to MOM Good allround performance.
Johnson 5 Another disappointment anonymous for most of the game only got 5 because of his free kick which hit the woodwork. Doesnt win enough tackles.
Thornton 7 Good game but tends to take on one man too many and loses the ball in vulnerable positions.
Murray 5 Was well controlled by their central defenders didnt make enough space.
Forster 5 Similar to Murray we need better from both of them if we are to succeed.

Subs:

Fleetwood 6 Huffed and puffed but didnt cause too many problems.

Ref: 2 For wearing the correct kit seemed to get most decisions wrong including giving us a soft penalty and denying a better one in the first half.

Whing - 4 should have done better for the goal. Doesn't make any movement - doesn't seem like he wants the ball
Virgo - 6.5 did everything right apart from a few times tried the impossible ball
Elphick - 6.5 same as above (although some of his long balls are pretty good)
Richards - 4 make a challenge you woofter, I just generally thought he was pretty shite
Anyinsah - 6 not blessed with the greatest touch or skill but he worked hard
Thomson - 7 had some fight, got stuck in
Johnson - he makes some good runs and has a sweet left foot, other than that very average, play him LM
Thornton - 7 had to do too much defensive work which he isn't the best at. Huddersfield worked out he was the creative player and didn't give him any space. Still did well though
Forster - 7 not quite at his fittest but still caused trouble
Murray - 5 poor touch. I don't know if he actually does no the offside rule, in the 1st half he was 5 yards offside calling for the ball.

Fleetwood - 6 couldn't really get into the game

Ref - 2 missed so much. Huddersfield are the dirtiest team I've seen this season, constant shirt tugging, pushing and even when they came through the back the ref gave nothing. Didn't do anything when one of their players (Parker I think) kicked out at Virgs and their player swung for Anyinsah.

When playing a team like Huddersfield we needed to be a bit more physical I thought. We were muscled out of it a bit today.

johnson - 6 - only good for long shots
thompson - 6 - gave them alot of space...
thornton - 8 - good play as always
Forster - 7 - good on the right hand side. Unlucky with penalty.

It's strange how people see Thompson differently. I can't believe anyone could rate Johnson the same or higher than him as I thought Thompson was head and shoulders above him and was actually doing well covering the space Johnson was leaving and not giving the ball away near as much!

Michel 7 - couple of quality saves.

Whing 3 - awful, awful distribution, I'd think of dropping him.
Virgo 7 - solid, but was lucky the half-time whistle went when it did!
Elphick 5 - defensively ok but back to his hoofing best.
Richards 6 - not a bad game

Anyinsah 3 - rubbish, get rid.
Thomson 7 - one of his better games for us, I was impressed, although I'm not sure he's the TYPE of player we need.
Johnson 4 - apart from one thunderbolt against the bar, he was anonymous (like last week).
Thornton 7 - class act, loads of flair today, but end product was disappointing.

Forster 2 - dreadful, I'm hoping it was just down to the recent injury because we can't afford for him to be playing like that for long.
Glenn 6 - brilliant in the first half, quieter in the second.

How can you give Forster a 2 and Murray a 6.

Neither were at their best but Forster was constantly causing trouble, making runs, earnt us a pen which was well saved and got stuck in.

Murray did none of that today...

Kuipers - 7 Some good stops, one of which was 35 yards from goal

Whing - 4 Two very bad errors, one for the goal and one for Kuipers' save mentioned above. Poor distribution.
Elphick - 6 Ok
Virgo - 7 Thought he had a good first half, second half was more difficult with counter attacks but good to have him in there at last.
Richards - 6 Ok, can pass better than this

Anyinsah - 5 Worked hard to little effect. Cox would be a better option from the start.
Thomson - 5 Had a spell where he played well, but the midfield largely disappeared after they scored.
Johnson - 5 Ditto. Too often slow (casual?) on the ball, great strike on him and always looks to get in the box which would be useful if we could get the ball in there.
Thornton - 8 Faded a bit second half but still clear MOTM, our most skilful and dangerous player.

Forster - 6 I'm surprised at some of the low ratings, thought he worked hard as usual, looked for the ball and took men on. Chronic lack of decent service for him and Murray.
Murray - 6 Looked our man most likely in the first half, creating our best chance of the game through both great touch and sheer force of will. Won a decent amount of the second half long punts.

Fleetwood - 5 Didn't do much, isn't he a striker?
