Stockdale - 7 - Kept well today and made a couple of decent saves. No chance for either goals.
Bruno - 4 - So inconsistent for a full back. Loses a point for giving away a ridiculous free kick in near the corner flag when the Watford player was going nowhere and away from goal.
Bennett - 4 - Cannot defend and doesn't offer a huge amount going forward. Barely adequate at this level and a big step down from Ward.
Halford - 2 - Cannot understand people saying he was the best of the central three he was probably the worst in my view. Hopeless
Greer - 3 - A fine player for the Albion but his time is up.
Dunk - 6 - Easily the best of the three centre halves. Fantastic pass in the early minutes of the game to release Bennett.
Stephens - 4 - Good work rate but his tackling technique means we can expect 2/3 red cards per season if he stays fit. Passing was poor too today.
Kayal - 8 - MOTM - A cut above the rest and we will do well to keep him. Another 5/6 signings like that pre-season and we might be in with a sniff of playoffs.
JFC - 6 - Thought he was decent today, a few misplaced passes but worked hard and generally used the ball well.
Carayol - 5 - The fact this was his best performance for us speaks volumes as he was ok at best.
O'Grady - 7 - Our best player in the first half but faded a little towards the end. Unlucky with the sand header link up player was very good.

CMS - 5 - Worked hard but should have got onto the Calderon chest down but was beaten by Gomes.
Lua Lua - 4 - Big season for him next year his not moved forward as a player and we may need to look at a more solid winger with better delivery e.g. another Conway
Calderon - 6 - Played well when he came on.

Can't be bothered to score them today but....
While Greer is still playing in a Brighton shirt we will never challenge for anything.
He is the absolute root of the problem and has been for nearly 3 seasons. League positions in the last 2 seasons have flattered to deceive but this season apart from a couple of ok games early on (to bag a new contract?) he has been woeful. Pedestrian and gives away position almost everytime.

Championship football is more about pressing, powerful, counter attack these days, not endless position in your own half with no end product watching your back 4 saunter out of defence, but some have been saying this since Oscar took over.,
Thank God this season is over.

stephen.race.whatever couldn't see that either. Bruno was rubbish, as usual Calderon, though past it, still managed more in a few minutes than Mr Liability did all game.

Lets hope Bruno's injury isn't too bad. A few years out should see him back to his best, playing beach footie.

bruno 5 technically good but caught out of position continuously , show pony and a bit of a liability.

greer 4 he is past his best , maybe 6 weeks off will help him. CB 's x2 needed for next season.

halford 4 did nothing and along with greer has to take flack for first goal.

stephens 6 can't fault effort , him and kayal good nucleus for next season.

forster caskey 4 i just don't see any quality there, effort maybe but quality ...no.

kayal 8 great game , a real character which is what we are lacking , i am in the next season's captain brigade.

carayol 6 put in a decent effort , unable to use his pace owing to our painfully slow build ups , possible link up with bennett but price would have to be right , obviously.

o'grady 7 tried hard , i like the bloke , he really needs some quality beside him to excel

all in all we are lacking half a team of quality , from watching that game stockdale , bennett , dunk , bruno , kayal , stephens and o'grady are a starting point for next season.......we need to bring in some quality players next season or there will be more weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth.......

Generally I thought the 3-4-3 worked well, especially for Bruno/Bennett. We Created some chances and looked ok up until we got anywhere near their goal. Defending was a joke for their first, which was a shame as I thought the back three looked like it might be something we could try again.

The clear difference with Watford is their strikers. Confident, good movement and understanding.
