Andersen - 7 - Heard that on Saturday his kicking was awful. tonight it was ok and couldn't do much about the goals
Whing - 5 - Poor by his standards didn't look at the races today
Heath - 6 - Didn't really do anything wrong
El-Abd - 5/6 - Would prefer him not playing CB but didn't do alot wrong, needs to know not to control the ball sometimes and just get rid
Borrowdale - 6 - Crap at defending, for some reason can't jump or challenge in the air, but good going forward and some good balls in the box
Carole - 6 - Looked lively and was causing them problems in the second half, can't see why he was taken off and not Cox
Jarrett - 5 - Just doesn't do it for me, doesn't do anything defensive or attacking for the team
Bangura - 7 - Really like him, gets stuck in, comfortable on the ball probably should have done beter with a couple of chances
Cox - 5- Doesn't get wide it's sort of like he's been told to make it 3 in the middle, they were absolutely raping us down the left in the first half as he was always tucked inside
Davies - 6 - Poor first half, lively second, and was starting to create for us
Owusu - 6 - Very lively in the first half and good goal, struggled in the second and maybe ran out of steam

Forster - 6 - looked good, picked up the ball alot but with little to show concerning end product
Birchall - 5 - Poor, no pace, provided no cover for Whing and didn't do anything with the ball
Hinshelwood - 6 Nothing of note

Give Andersen a 6, Jarrett a 4, and Davies a 4, and you've got it pretty much right.

Was inbetween a 6/7 with Anderson, i supose he didn't really do too much.

Jarrett is terrible IMO and we need one DM which is Bangura and one AM/Creative Midfielder which we don't have in our squad.

Davies i didn't think was that bad, he can't score atm but adds more than just that to the team and makes us not one dimentional.

Anderson 6- Poor for the first goal but looked ok

Whing 7- Ran his heart out and played well

Borrowdale 8- Great cross for goal looked good we lost the game when he went off

Heath 8- at last a proper centre half that can head the poor thought he looked quailty

El Abd 4 - Again looked poor and his passing is woefull hope Elphick comes in for him

Cox 2-Total and utter shit...has no pace...cant do a set piece to save his life total and utter f***ing waste of space

Jarrett 6- Very mixed game some good some bad

Bangura 6- See above

Carole 7.5- Played very well and tracked back well

Davies 5- Ran his socks off but very poor quailty

Owasua 9-mom great flicks on good goal and looked bllody good

Subs

Forster 8- Bloody brilliant and when up to 100% his goals might save us

Birchall 6 - not on for long enough

Hinsh 3 - crap again we looked so bad at the back when he came on for borrowdale

A much improved display we desvered a point against a very good and well polished Southend team but as Slade said our defending is a crime

In my view if borrowdale had not got injured we would of won or at least drawn

Crowd tonight were very good

True, but when you're down fighting for your lives, you need more from a striker than just adding another dimension. If he can't score, he has to be dropped.

But i think when Forster is match fit we'll have a goal scorer, i'd maybe try davies either wide left, instead of Cox as he was shit, as he was pulling out there in the second half and creating, or just drop Jarrett, as he was shit, and have him play AM linking the Midfield and Defence with the Strikers. That just my oopinion though

I thought whing had a good game.
Jarrett and davies both looked poor throughout, the gulf in class between what forster brings to the team compared with davies is visible instantly. Both have no control over the ball and neither of them can pick out the correct pass quick enough.
Agree about cox, not sure what he was doing drifting into the centre in the first half, it just left borrowdale totally exposed.
Hinshelwood looked solid and I think 5 is a bit harsh on birchall given that he wasn't really on long enough to make an impact.
Heath looked ok, but there were definitely organisation problems with him and el-abd, I was watching them and at times they were miles apart allowing their centre midfielder space to run into the middle.

The second half was miles better than the first, but we will still need to improve on that to stay up. I think we've run out of games though, I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good.

I feel their 2nd goal came because Whing was exposed 2 on 1 and Birchall was responsible for this IMO.

I'd be interested to know what dimension it is he supposedly brings. He not just fails to score goals, but as far as I can see contributes very little to the game elsewhere. He hasn't won a header since he got here - pathetic for such a big guy.

Also don't see how Bangura could possibly deserve a 9 tonight. He was fine, but he was pretty quiet and nothing out of the ordinary (I don't believe he was any better than El-Abd might have played in that position tonight). I suspect TCB gave him a 9 simply on the basis that he isn't Fraser or El-Abd. Oh well.

If you can't see that Bangura is brilliant then you're an idiot. To even mention Fraser and El Abd in the same sentence is an insult.

Was brilliant on Saturday - was very ordinary today. I think he's a good player, but equally I think you rarely actually rate players on a game to game basis but rather rate according to how good you think they are. Bangura is the better player, but if you can't see that he wasn't anywhere near as good tonight as Saturday, then you're the idiot.

Bangura is the best midfielder this club has seen for YEARS!!!

He is composed on the ball, he can pick a FORWARD pass, and he has great vision.
Not only this but he has a will to win unlike other midfielders i.e Jarrett, Thomson, Birchall and I could go on. He is a great tackler AND he can shoot from range.

f*** SAKE, what more do you want!?

That is about right and also if he loses the ball he batles to win it back. I thought that him and Jarrett complimented each other very well tonigfht 1 pushing foreward and winning tackles the other picking the ball up from the back four and pasing the ball forward inan efficient if unspectacular fashion to avoid ainless long hoofs upfield. Not sure how this will suity Elphick and Virgo when they are back in contention for a place.

Thought Heath had a very good game and always had the back four under his command and guidance, apart from obviously the last 6 mins.

Anderson 5 - At fault for the first goal. Not sure what he brings over Sullivan other than marginally more presence. FDM urgently required, but this should be his last season...

Whing 6 - Ok
El Abd 5 - Doesn't attack the ball. Ball watching a number of occasions
Heath 6 - Ok
Borrowdale 5 - Uninspiring

Seb 6 - Southend knew what to expect and had 2 players on him
Jarrett 5 - One of his better performances, but shouldn't be in the team. Poor signing.
Bangura 7 - Good effort, too many touches at times.
Cox 4 - Drifted out of position. But fankly dreadful.

Davies 6 - Tried hard, but not a genuine threat
Lloyd 6 - Tried hard - awful first touch. Came out wide, when should've stayed in the middle

Subs:

Forster 7 - Worked really hard
Hinshelwood 6 - Ok in the time he was on. But not up to it
Birchall 5 - Another poor signing

Anderson at fault for 1st goal and apart from catching one cross, can't see how the Argus gave them 5 shots off target.
I think some people mix Jarrett and El Abd up because I didn't see many misplaced passes from El Abd.
Definetly an improvement overall, where was our right back or cover for the 2nd goal.
Not sure why El Abd was switched, can't Hinsh play left back as I thought the central 2 were doing ok.
I think overall ALL of the players deserved 6 apart from Owusu and Bangura 7not sure what I can give Birchall possibly too late to do anything exceptional but didn't really do anything average!
