Anderson at fault for 1st goal and apart from catching one cross, can't see how the Argus gave them 5 shots off target.
I think some people mix Jarrett and El Abd up because I didn't see many misplaced passes from El Abd.
Definetly an improvement overall, where was our right back or cover for the 2nd goal.
Not sure why El Abd was switched, can't Hinsh play left back as I thought the central 2 were doing ok.
I think overall ALL of the players deserved 6 apart from Owusu and Bangura 7not sure what I can give Birchall possibly too late to do anything exceptional but didn't really do anything average!

I'll have to see the footage but looked like Cox left Borrowdale on his own to mark 2, he didn't get close enough to the guy who crossed it and El-Abd/Heath wern't marking in the middle.

How anyone can give Cox more that a 3 is a mystery, he was completely clueless last night. Utter, utter rubbish.

I thought we looked ok generally and just needed the rub of the green, but again with Cox playing it seemed that we were playing with 10 men

Slade said on SCR before the game that Cox wouldn't play wide but inside with Carole giving us width, but Southend sussed this out early leaving us over run on the opposite flank.
IMO it might have worked with Birchall in that role, but poor Coxy is struggling everwhere this season.

Cox's delivery from the dead ball situation was atrotious yet we still let him take corners and free kicks. More often than not the ball doesn't beat the first man, allowing the opposition to clear and break, leaving our expectant attackers scratching their heads as to why the ball never arrived where it should have done. He gave Borrowdale no cover at all - and White was moaning about Seb's defensive shortcomings!
