Appalling performance. First half particularly bad. Total lack of interest and commitment from most of the team. Poor decisions from the manager. Why drop Ince? Why not start with two strikers when playing at home against the bottom team? Why wait so long to bring Lita on? Why not give Solly March a game in a fixture like this?

Kuszczack 5. Should have done better with the second goal.
Bruno 3. A couple of nice touches, but mostly overhit passes and poor defending.
Greer 4. Some of his distribution was awful.
Upson 6. Nice goal and better defending than Greer.
Ward 6. Decent enough game.
Bridcutt 6. Some of his passing not up to his usual standard, but OK performance considering just back from injury.
Crofts 5. Did not stamp any authority on the game. Too pedestrian.
JFC 3. Very poor.
Lopez 4. A couple of decent corners, but that's about all of note.
Conway 5. Not really good enough.
Barnes 4. Poor. His ability to hold the ball up deserted him.

Subs:
Buckley 6. At least he made a positive difference.
Agustein 5. Some good touches, but not yey sure why we signed him.
Lita 5. Didn't see enough of the ball.

GK Kusczak - 3 - Should have done better with both goals.
RB Bruno - 4 - I don't see what he offers ahead of Calderon apart from a tiny bit more composure on the ball.
LB Ward - 6 - Our best player tonight, got forward well and linked with Conway throughout.
CB Greer - 4 - Scotland must be shit based on this performance.
CB Upson - 6 - Was decent throughout and scored the goal.
DM Bridcutt - 5 - Hit and miss tonight, made some decent challenges and kept the ball well when passing 5/10 yards sideways and backwards. But as soon as he tries more ambitious passes in all goes to pot.
CM Forster Caskey - 4 - Anonymous.
CM Crofts - 5 - Looked more threatening second half as he drived the team forward.
RM Lopez - 5 - Not as bad as some are stating on other threads, but he does bottle challenges.
LM Conway - 5.5 - One of our better players tonight and got into some good positions, hit the bar first half.
STR Barnes - 4 - Isolated first half, but never really got into the game second half.

Subs
Buckley - 4 - Was the right substitution but he looked of the pace and should of equalised.
Agustein - 5 - Looked fairly bright when he came on.
Lita - Not enough time to mark.

Very disappointing performance and a golden opportunity wasted to move up the league, that being said based on performances this year we are not good enough to go up.

No passion or desire from the players we afforded Barnsley the luxury of playing it across their back four unchallenged, surely the wingers should have pinned in their full backs and Crofts should have played closer to Barnes so we could pressure higher up the pitch.

First half in particular we didn't win one 50/50 challenge and seemed lethargic.

Team selection was puzzling, it looked like a team set up to contain away from home, rather than set up to attack a team bottom of the table with a pretty shite goal difference.

Why was Barnes taken of when we were chasing the game? If he was injured why not push Upson and Greer up top and play with three at the back for the final 5 minutes plus stoppage time, by this stage Barnsley had pulled everyone behind the ball and offered little threat going forward at that stage.

Dogshit.

Agree with most of this. Conway was by far our best player and can't understand why he is being given such low marks, probably because if you have one bad game early on for Albion then you are classed as crap forever. You can't compare him with Buckley on tonight's performance, Buckley has been poor for most of this season and tonight ducked out of a header when easier to score and missed a one on one with their keeper. Nowhere near the player he was last season and becoming a sick note. We looked more potent when Agustein came on and replaced Spanish Dave who was lucky to get a 3.If he plays against Leicester, he must be Oscar's love child lol. Oh and by the way their second goal was a yard offside, but we deserved nothing from the game anyway.
