Just of curiosity, who was the Brighton-defender closest to McArthur when he shot the 0-1 goal? Was it Upson? And who was the Brighton-player closest to McCann when he made it 0-2? It's impossible to tell from that video.

First goal was Upson. Still unclear about the second, but think it was Ward.

For 4 to go in you need quality in the team at the sharp end which is lacking at the present time exempting Ulloa of course

Kusczack 5 Had no command of the 6 yard box, in no mans land for the second goal, distribution choices woeful.

Bruno 7 Was involved in the game, but missed many good opportunities to move the ball forward late in the second half.
Greer 7 Thought he was solid all game
Upson 6 Made some wrong choices yesterday, badly caught out for the first goal
Ward 7 Always looking to get forward, and crossed the ball well at times, lost his man for the second goal.
Ince 7 Solid, but sometimes struggles to control the ball.
Stephens 7 He is getting better, should have scored yesterday and that is what he needs to do in this position
Orlandi 5 Slow, complacent, poor from a dead ball, low work rate. Needs to improve and up his work rate.
David L 8 Was MOM, has vision and thinks quicker than most of the team, created chances that were squandered by others.
David R 5 Am expecting a little more from him, has chances to run at defenders and choses the easy option.
Ulloa 6 I am happy that he has four in four, but he does have a lot o opportunities as most of our efforts are focused on him

Buckley 7 Made a big effort when he came on, made a difference and nearly scored, we need to se more of this
LuaLua 5 Not sure he knows what his role is, becoming very predictable, poor crossing.
Obika 6 I have criticised him in the past but saw some encouraging moves from him, should have scored yesterday.

Oscar 7 Team selection was good, with timely subs, the team creates a lot of chances and he only has a limited number of assets to use up front. The team is placing itself in positions to score but failing to hit the target, this needs to be addressed as we cannot allow Ulloa to be our only scorer.

A really frustrating day for our bi-annual pilgramage from the north east. I was expecting a tough game but Wigan were really ordinary and unplayed for long periods. Bar two clincially taken chances they brought nothing to the game but two banks of defence sitting in to soak up our pressure and try and hit us on the break. I thought we played well without being clinical. I thought Bruno, Orlandi and Spanish Dave had really good games. Some of the touch and go stuff from the passing triangles Bruno, Orlandi and Buckley were creating in the 2nd half was sublime at times. The pretty football is great but its just frustrating that we seem to lack the ability to kill off teams. We had the chances to win this comfortably and on another day it could have 4 or 5 nil. Wigan got away with daylight robbery and they know it. You could see that from their reaction at the final whistle. The positive I take from it is that I can see progress, Oscar's style of play is coming through and its good to watch. If we have to lose I'd rather go home frustrated by opportunities missed rather than take a deserved hinding from playing crap.
