Lancing
I enjoyed the game, but very very frustrating that we came away with no points instead of three. Wigan, I thought, were poor and there for the taking if we had taken our chances.

Kuszczack 5. Not his best game, but I don't believe he could have done anything about the goals. Indecisive, very slow coming off his line on a couple of occasions and poor distribution.
Bruno 7. Some great stuff from him today, but also the usual lapses (but maybe fewer of them).
Greer 7. Decent enough game and a good shot on goal.
Upson 6. Loses a point for giving the ball away for Wigan's first goal. Otherwise an OK game.
Ward 7. Some good defending and some decent forages forward, but one awful piece of defending in the 2nd half when he lost his man on the line.
Stephens 8. Best game since signing. Impressed. Great shot which hit the bar. MOM.
Ince 8. Another good game. He has a bit of the Peter Smith about him when you're sure he has lost the ball and then, suddenly, he comes away with it.
Lopez 7. The first half was possibly his best 45 mins of the season, but faded badly towards the end of the game.
Orlandi 7. I liked his interchanges with Lopez in the first half. Looked like a good understanding between them. But his overall game not up to last season's standard.
Rodrigues 5. Mostly because I really didn't see him do anything of note. Disappointing.
Ulloa 7. Back to something like his best, but his ball control still lacking. Too many times it bounces off him straight to the opposition. Nicely taken goal. Should have had a second.

Subs:
Buckley 6. Not as good as on Monday.
Lua Lua 6. Frustrating.
Obika 5. Better than on Monday, but there again could not have put in a worse performance.

I watched the same game as you except I thought Wigan were good and took their two chances where we only took one of our ten chances

Kusczack 5 - his worst game for us. Arguing with Upson who passed him the ball giving him plenty of time to clear, but he faffed about and then put it out our for a throw. Wtf?

Bruno 7
Greer 6
Upson 6 not his best day
Ward 6 ditto
Ince 8 Oscar's decision to put him in midfield was genius.
Stephens 7.5 his best game for us
Orlandi 6
David L 7
David R 5 he's quick but not much else
Ulloa 6

Buckley 6
LuaLua 5
Obika 6

Kuszczak 6 no chance with either goal and played into trouble by Upson for a clearance by not being avsilsble for the return.
Bruno 7 Solid and adventurous forward.
Greer 7 Dependable as usual.getting unndccessary stick.
Upson 5 poor game by his high standard goal his error and played TK into trouble with an uncharacteristic back pass
Lopez 7 good furst hakf but faded in tgd wnd when switched wings.
Ince 6 poor by his recent standards his first touch causes him to have to retrieve the ball too often.
Orlandi 7 caused oroblems abd duppirted front men but list ut when moved back.
Rodriguez 5 very quiet did nothing of note.Ulloa 7 gosl scorer which is what he is paid for and held the ball up for Others but first touch not good enough.
Subs
Buckley 6 looked sharp
Lua Lua 5 did very little and didnt cause the full back enough problems.
Obika 4 better than he has been but still looks a mile off of the standard we require and need.

No wonder we lost, we only had 6 players.

The couple of posters who reckon 'Wigan were poor/there for the taking' must be living in cloud cuckoo land !

Very good side who will trouble the judge come the end of the season i've no doubt

Kusczack - 5 - Wasn't bad but made some interesting decisions when he had the ball

Bruno- 8.5 - MotM, can't think of anyone who tried harder to get an equaliser, seemed to be everywhere for the last 10 minutes.

Upson - 5 - Oh why Matty, why? Seemed a little off the pace today
Greer - 7 - Can't think of much he did wrong, for a CB that's about as good as it gets. If I could guarantee that those sat near me would read this, I'd give him a 10, just to induce more completely unjustified hatred.
Ward - 7 - Trundled up and down for the first half, solid defensive effort, faded during the second but still not bad at all.

Lopez - 7 - Some lovely attempted passes, if they'd come off we wouldn't have lost.
Stephens - 8 - Don't think he stopped all game, looking like a good signing.
Ince - 6.5 - Disappointing, possibly due to the season he's been having I now have unrealistic expectations but he seemed to be lacking today.
Orlandi - 7 - Nice little touches/passes, kept everything ticking over.
Rodriguez - 6 - End product was missing but watching chase everything was at least heartening.
Ulloa 6 - Good finish, not going to give higher than a 6 though.

Subs

Lua Lua 6.5 - Woud've liked to have seen him earlier, regardless of his last ball he clearly scares the hell out of defenders (understandably). Came on and got down to causing mischief.
Buckley 7 - Linked up very well with Bruno towards the end of the game, so nearly scored a glorious goal.
Obika - 6.5 - Not fashionable to say it but he wasn't bad today, all over the place, looking to link up the play where possible.

Buckleys Dive - 9.5

Totally agree. They were a premiership side last year, and are currently one of the in-form sides. I thought we played well against strong opposition.

The only thing that went wrong is that they scored more goals than us. The trouble is that is fairly fundamental and important.

I don't live in cloud cuckoo land. Wigan were poor. Balls kicked into touch, crap passing, and only two shots on target in the entire game. Sure they scored from both, but a good team needs many more shots on target.

on a general point on marks .there are 10 numbers .5.5 is in the middle.
we are struggling to score goals.
generally maybe people have over marked our attack in most games.
but as last year our hopes of making the playoffs rely on ulloa's goals.
It is the rest of our strike force which are not contributing enough.

Fiveways
Top Kat 5 -- can't be faulted for goals, but his distribution seems to be getting worse. He takes so long to get rid of the ball, is so deliberate that he telegraphs it when he eventually does, and his long kicking needs improvement
Bruno 8.5 -- flair, won a lot of 50-50 balls by nicking it away from them. He's really playing well
Greer 5.5 -- meh
Upson 6 -- not his best
Ward 6 -- ditto
Ince 7 -- top man, got around, and was just a whisker away with his blast
Stephens 8 -- really industrious, great pressing, didn't do much wrong although he could have blasted a little less with his best opportunity
Orlandi 7.5 -- flair, graceful, delightful touches, brilliant crosses
SD*1 8 -- back to his best, probably because he was playing with Bruno and Orlandi
SD*2 6 -- did good defensive work and a few nice touches, but needs to adapt to the physicality of the Championship
Ulloa 7 -- he scores a goal a game

Buckley 8 -- thought he was back to his best today: quick, skilful, direct
LuaLua 6 -- can Orlandi have a word with him about crossing?
Obika 5 -- with an extra point for nearly getting the ball out the stadium

That Carl/Cack ref 3

Just didn't think it was our day. Things just fell in their favour, and they didn't for us. They took their chances well, and we got less than a quarter of ours on target. In many respects, I think this game summed up our season pretty well: good play, bad luck, and poor finishing.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
I don't think anyone had a bad game yesterday, bar the 2 errors, Stephens was my MOM, I thought he was terrific, a shame he couldn't cap it of with a goal
